How does everyone store there make-up

How does everyone store there make-up ? I ran out of room in the bathroom so I started using storage boxes to store excess make-up. Its clear and easy to see what I have.

I bought the Avon Mark beauty case online. It’s just right and quite big.

I have several make up bags, one contains the products I use the most (BB cream, concealer, mascara, lipstick) and then I have separate ones for of all of my lipsticks, one for eyeliner, one for mascaras etc. They’re kept in my bathroom drawer because there is nowhere else to store them, really.
All the skin care products (cleansers, moisturiser etc) are either stored under the bathroom sink or on the counter for easy access.

Hello! To store my makeup products I have a dressing table. I bought it in the Internet but as time is going it is too small for me. There are 4 drawers, 2 smaller and 2 bigger. I have many makeup and nail things so it is hard to keep them in here. I need something more capacious. In ikea there is a column cupboard which is perfect if you have many cosmetics. I see that many make up artists have it and it is really functional!

So many beauties are so organised. I too am organised but I use what I have, like some other beauties. Mainly I like hard cardboard boxes, old chocolate boxes and their lids. My nail polishes are in one box, my moisturising products are in another box, my daily make up is in another box. When I have a bulk of stuff I use shoe boxes, and sadly I also have 3 drawers full of stuff: sorted into make up in one drawer, utensils and accessories in another drawer and moisturisers and stuff like that in another drawer. Then I have large woven baskets with hair care products, body care products and other stuff.

The things I use daily are in the bathroom for personal hygiene either one of in the shower and the back ups in the vanity cupboard.

Generally, I just have far too much stuff and need to keep it organised to a degree. Then I do a cull and throw out what has become past it’s use by or use best before date. I am too embarrassed by the volume of stuff that I have to post a photo. Perhaps a shelf or two in a store would reflect my collection!

I store my stuff all over the place. Due to the time of year, I store most of my skincare & makeup (except for powder items) in a bag inside my fridge as it gets hot inside my house (no air con here sadly) and I have things that need to be stored below 25-30C.

As far as makeup goes, I have an organiser from IKEA that I use to store my makeup in for the most part. I don’t have a massive stash of makeup, but at some stage I might have to buy an acrylic makeup box as my stash is continuing to grow.

Skincare wise, I have a double vanity, so I store whatever I’m currently using on one side of the vanity. Can’t use the cupboards as they’re filled with other bits & pieces my parents & I don’t use on a regular basis. The rest is in another bag inside my room. I wish I could sort this part out a lot better as I’m having trouble finding stuff, but right now it is what it is.

Haircare gets stored on a bench behind the bathtub as we haven’t got a shelf inside the shower (broke that thing years ago & haven’t replaced it yet). That’s another area I’d like to have sorted.

Nail polishes are in 2 places: 1. A stepped organiser I bought from either IKEA or Howard’s Storage World years ago (that’s where 99.9% of my stash lives). 2. A Makeup Box Shop tower that unfortunately doesn’t fit on my wardrobe shelves (it’s a bit too high for the non-adjustable shelves), so it currently lives on the floor as I’m fast running out of wardrobe space. (Too many shoes!)

I’ve actually read/heard that you shouldn’t store makeup in the bathroom, as it could be affected by steam and heat from hot shower.

As I said earlier, mine is on top of our chest of drawers in the bedroom. I’ll take a photo and post it here when I can. I can’t right now, because I have a dog sprawled across my lap fast asleep!

I live alone, so I used to use the bathroom medicine cabinet to store my makeup, but my makeup overflowed, so I rearranged everything. Now I use the drawers in my dressing table.

Hi!! I bought 2 Alex drawers from Ikea – One tall with 9 drawers and one with 5 drawers. They sit on either side of my makeup desk which make it easy to access makeup when i’m sitting down at my desk. I also purchased acrylic organisers/dividers from Luvo Store/Vanity Collections online which has made everything so much easier. There’s nothing worse than taking the time to go through each drawer and organise everything only for things to roll around and move whenever you open/close the drawers. This way I’ve found my drawers to stay neat and makes it easier to see where everything is as every product has a spot. I keep my makeup brushes onto of my makeup desk in large glass jars.

I’ve got one of those acrylic makeup drawer set things, but it’s not big enough. It sits on top of the chest of drawers in our bedroom. My makeup brushes are in old candle jars. The boxes that Mecca send when you order online are great for storing things too. I’ve also got body lotions and perfumes on top of the drawers.

My skincare lives in the bathroom cupboard. I really need to get some containers of some kind and organise it. I’ve been saying that for a while but I just haven’t gotten around to it. My haircare, eg hair spray, heat protectant, finishing spray etc are on a shelf in the bathroom.

I’m actually thinking about getting myself a desk and a bookshelf and setting up a ‘beauty room’ in the spare room. This way I could organise all of my stuff, and keep the cat away from it all. He loves to ‘borrow’ my stuff sometimes. He especially loves brushes, sponges and lipsticks!
