Help !! Best primers for acne prone and oily skin??

I’ve only ever used a moisturiser as a base but I have decided to splurge on a good primer. The problem is, I’ve got no clue where to start.

I recommend buying elf’s poreless putty primer, or even any of elf’s putty primer. This primer is affordable and suitable for all skin types. I personally don’t have acne but someone I know has acne and uses this primer and loves it. Highly recommend this primer.

My skin is somewhat acne-prone, and I have LOVED the Too Faced Hangover Primer. It’s very nourishing and moisturising, without leaving the skin greasy or oily. I haven’t had any breakouts from it 🙂

I too only used moisturisers initially, but having used a primer I found applying foundation so much easier. Having more mature skin that isn’t so oily I can’t help but can I suggest you go to a Mecca store and ask for advice there. They also offer little pots of sample products to try which is a great help. I did that when I was looking for something suitable. But, use the sample pot fairly quickly as the product may change consistency as it is exposed to the air, being in a pot. Good luck with your search.

Can’t help you from personal experience because I have the opposite problem but there’s an Aussie YouTuber I watch called Nikkia Joy, a makeup artist who suffers from oily skin and acne and she’s always testing primers:

Type primer in the search box on her channel and all the tests will come up. Hopefully some other members will come along after I bump this to give their advice.
