GRAND MIRROR LIGHTED MIRRORS

Hi! I think my thread was deleted and I don’t why. I badly need your thoughts,
So I’m just starting my makeup career and I’ve been eyeing these table top mirrors. I’m torn between Grand Mirrors’ Hollywood Tabletop Mirror 100 that costs $249.00 and Hollywood Tabletop Mirror 60 that cost $99.99. I’m not sure if I should go big with the higher price or just settle with the cheaper one. Do you think it’s worth it for beginners like me to invest into expensive vanity mirrors. Thanks! Let me know your thoughts and if you own any of these mirrors, please help and comment here.

xoxo,
Marthy

    Marthy.

I am a pro MUA. What sort of work do you do? If you do fashion/catalogue/editorial, your work will generally be onsite. Do you really need ANY vanity mirror?

If you do bridal, again you would be offsite all the time.

If you have your own studio then yes, you need to invest in an expensive, good quality lighted mirror. But I doubt you are a start up if you have your own studio.

Base on this logic I have to agree with petal that your post smells like spam.

Hi Thanks, I don`t own a studio yet, I`m just a freelancer. I just started doing makeup on few editorials because of a friend who`s a hairstylist, he brings me to his work sometimes. I also accept event makeup such as weddings or parties (some of my clients mostly my are my family`s friends, they go to my house but sometimes I insist going to their houses bringing a very cheap vanity mirror I received as a present last year) My career is starting up, not doing full time yet.

These mirrors are handy i mean i think you can also bring it with you since I have my own car but I think I shouldn`t buy expensive mirrors yet because I`m not really getting a lot of clients yet. I just thought it might be good investment or helpful in attracting customers or clients but yeah I know it`s about skills and professionalism.

If the prices above are USD I would go for the cheaper one for when you first start out. But I would probably ask those who have become professional makeup artists.

I won’t presume you are American, because I know from my hairdresser friends that they have to ship over certain items they want from the US because we don’t have them here in Australia.

Hopefully there are some professional make up artists on here who can help you

Thank you so much! Yep, I usually buy stuff outside Australia because they also ship worldwide and I think I won`t buy expensive vanity mirror anymore. Have a great day!
