I am absolutely loving the concealer most of all at the moment! It is outstanding! It hasn’t caked at all.

I only experienced the foundation going a little orange on one of the days and I could maybe put that down to being the day I didn’t blend with a brush and therefore there was a bit too much product in areas.

I love a good matte finish though and am also enjoying the lightness of all of the products.

In the last 4 days, on 3 of the days I’ve used the foundation/concealer/finishing powder and on 1 day I used only the concealer and finishing powder with my BB cream (had an early start and didn’t have time to apply foundation).

So far, I’m actually quite surprised I like these products!

Foundation: 810 (Ivory?) was a really good match for my skin and blended in very easily. Was not cakey at all and was really lightweight yet had really good coverage. Luckily didn’t experience any oxidisation mentioned by lauratough.

Concealer: worked really well under the eyes and much better than my other Covergirl concealer which was prone to cakiness under the eyes, though I felt it performed better for covering up blemishes

Finishing Powder: very fine light powder which was great lightly dusted all over, and didn’t look like you had put on any at all! There wasn’t much fall out in the pan as well which was surprising.

Overall great start and keen to keep trialling these over the forthcoming days. In terms of longevity, whilst it was really good, I’m not sure if it did outlast other drugstore foundations…

I wore the foundation all day at work yesterday and while the coverage was really nice and the foundation lasted really well all day, I have to say I was quite disappointed when I looked in the mirror at the end of the day and my face was a little bit orange…I think the foundation might have oxidised through the day, making the colour less perfect by the time I got home…

My skin has golden undertones so I don`t usually have this issue, but I have found the foundation looks orange on me at the end of the day also 🙁 might have to wait and give it a go in summer when I`m tanned..

Congratulations to the members in this trial! I hope that someone with dry skin is participating (because I have dry skin). So many foundations seem to be designed for people with oily/combination skin.

If anyone has larger pores on their face, I would appreciate you mentioning in your review if this foundation pools into the larger pores and accentuates them. Although my skin is dry, my pores have become larger on my cheeks and nose (probably due to the ageing process). All light coverage foundations pool into the larger pores and highlight them, creating a horrible polka dots appearance. The polka dots look is mostly noticeable in a magnifying mirror, but it’s always something that I really dislike.

I recently trialled these covergirl products- the concealer was great, loved the concealer- great cover/decent moisture.

I have combination skin, but more on the dry side. I have found that the products sit really well on my T-zone, but does look a little noticeably dry in other areas. I`ve started using vaseline (very sparsely) on dry areas of my face under my foundation and it has really helped even out the performance of the products I use, but if you have dry skin all over your face it may not be the range for you 🙁

Ohhh so jealous! Can’t wait to read the reviews on this. Looking for a new foundation so great timing with this one so I can get more info!

Tried the foundation and concealer out today, I am so impressed with the blendability (is that a thing?!) of this! It just blends into the skin so well!!!

Have you tried the original formula, Laura. If so, how does it compare?

    • 6 yrs, 7 mths ago

Sounds promising Laura . How does it compare to your favourites?

It`s quite nice! Waiting to see how it fairs at the end of the day to be really sure. I`ve had really dry skin lately, so lots of foundations just cling to my dry patches by the end of the day, so I`m hoping this one just lasts nicely!
