Kylie Jenner lip kit? Thoughts!

I adore the Kylie Jenner lip kits! The matte shades are gorgeous

The Kylie lLip kits look absolutely gorgeous but that’s where it ends… There are many mar better and cheaper products out there. The only reason why people buy Kylie’s products is because of the Kardashian name (no hate) but the experts have actually deemed kylie lip kits one of the worst beauty products of the year! Search it up!

I made a very long post about my experience with Kylie Cosmetics company and her products on here in the make up section. Her customer service is terrible and her prices are extremely over priced there is nothing special about her products. I own lots of Colourpop liquid lipsticks and have owned 4 different lipkits and i can say there is 100% no difference in the feel and wear on your lips from Colourpop and Kylie liquid lipsticks, they are of course made in the same factory and claim to be “different” but there is no difference you are only paying for Kylies name. I am a lipstick collector and was extremely disapointed in her lip kits. They varied shade to shade some i hated because they bled like crazy around my mouth leaving a fuzzy outline, most of them dried streaky and patchy but they also don’t layer nicely so they can’t be fixed because if you layer it will flake and crumble off very fast, next problem crumbling they are a very cheap drying formula and they start to flake quite quickly and i don’t feel like they are comfortable on the lips at all, one shade i had never even passed the kiss test and was not transfer proof like it claimed to be. I sold all my lip kits and will never buy more, i don’t like the Colourpop Ultra Mattes either which are the same product. I do however love and recommend the Colourpop Ultra Satins they are a creamy long lasting liquid lipstick that do not flake or crumble and are not drying and last all day!

However, I have used Kylie’s lip kits and have not been super impressed.
They are very drying and definitely become crumbly. You can touch up just by using lip balm but that defeats the purpose of a matte lip that’s meant to be long lasting.
I always prep my lips with a scrub and lip balm but I don’t think it helps much.
The lighter colours are better because it’s not so noticeable but I really felt uncomfortable wearing anything darker than Dolce K.

Rather than splurging on the lip kits, I highly recommend colourpop. They use basically the same formula and have a huge range of colours. I do find colourpops ultra matte colours to be just as drying as the lip kits, but they only cost $6.
I LOVE the ultra satins, they are so comfortable to wear and while they don’t completely dry down, they are very long lasting !

Overpriced hype. The 90s left back in the 90s. Not a fan of Kylie; she’s nothing but a vapid tart and I would not buy or support anything she endorses. That whole family is gross.

Try using Jeffree Star liquid lipstick in Celebrity Skin, its perfect. And interestingly it’s sold out everywhere but Pepper Mayo which is an Aus website (exciting!).

I watched “The Three Stooges” movie last night. There was a scene in which the stooges arrived at a party. Someone said “Oh what are those three idiots doing here?” The response: “Oh are the Kardashian sisters here?” Funniest thing in the whole movie!

OK, funniest thing after the pissing baby fight. (If you haven’ t seen the movie, just search for the baby fight on YouTube, don’t waste 90 odd minutes of your life watching the whole movie like I did.)
