i think i finish my liquid foundation in about a year’s time. All the others i never finish them and ended up throwing them away.

I rarely ever finish anything 🙁 I cannot stick to a product very long I swear I have ADD when it comes to being distracted by new products. Every new season I have a purge of cosmetics as I always change them due to season/colours. I give away what I can to family and friends and the stuff I can’t I bin (and feel majorly guilty about the waste when I do).

After reading this I think I should really go through and throw out majority (90%) of my makeup as I don’t think I have ever finished an eyeshadow or blush and I still have some from about 10 years ago…. hmmmmm. I must say I am loving this website as I am learning endless amounts of info. Thanks Ladies.

My Foundation last from 2 months – 8 months.
Mascara surprising lasts a while too.

Skincare usually takes me around 6 months.

Makeup… well, that could take years.

It’s hard to not start collecting more & more when new stuff always comes out!

Those I used were quite satisfying. I got them on crazysales and the quality cheers me up. I find substitution on that too.

I’ve been saying I need to start labelling my products with the date I start using them so that:
    a) I can keep track of how long it takes to finish
    b) I know when to throw them out if they are expired!
I try hard to only have 1 open product of everything and finish that completely before moving onto the next…but it still takes me forever and I just end up with a ridiculous beauty cupboard full of unopened products!!

My makeup products usually lasts 1-2 years but that’s because I only use them every Sunday and the occasional weekend. But for my skincare products, my cleanser usually lasts 4+ months while my moisturiser, toner and others usually lasts for 6 months.

my serum lasts about 45 days because I use them day and night
but my creams typically lasts 90 days or more because I try to use less but layer more types on, not sure how effective or how hygienic it is …
i have to chuck out my makeups they take too long to finish.

The product I seem to go through fastest is serum since I usually stick to one for both day and night. Depending on the size of the bottle and consistency of the serum, I can sometimes go through a bottle in 1 1/2 – 2 months! Moisturiser, foundation, cleanser, eye cream takes about 3 months. I had a Dr Lewinns eye cream that took almost a year of exclusive use to finish up! It wasn’t that good though so I would not recommend. I am doing a project pan this year and it has made me realise that I have WAY more stuff than I could possibly use! I am obsessed with seeing visible progress on products now….I have a foundation and lipstick that are almost done and I am ecstatic!
