Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask Recall

J&J and the TGA have recalled the Neutrogena Light Therapy Mask due to potential for eye damage.

I wonder if other devices will similarly be recalled?

Wow, I was considering purchasing one of these in the past but I was a bit apprehensive. I’m more comfortable leaving it to the professionals who can properly advise and treat. It’s great you have had a great experience with it though, clearcrystalwater, it seems like you’re doing fine with it. Like Lucy16 said, wear those goggles!! 🙂

I have one of these kits at home plus an extra activator. I really liked the results so I’m not sure I want to return it for the recall? Is in mandatory? Wondering if anyone has returned theirs and wished they’d kept it!? I’ve got it here sitting on the desk but I kinda want to keep it.

I’m thinking if we use an eye protecting goggles (from a separate laser hair remover kit that we have here at home), it would okay to use? Is it just the eyes or the skin too that gets damaged?

As far as I’m aware, it’s to do with potential eye damage.

I reckon if you wear goggles it should be fine.

Oh wow. Thanks for posting Lucy. I have their little wand for spot treatment but feel a bit claustrophobic in the mask (well it wasn’t this one per sé, but a friend at work bought one from Mecca last week and we all had a try. It did seem to work on evening skin tone and reducing redness—immediate results)

I think all light therapy will have some effect on the eyes. I always keep my eyes closed when using a light mask. But I don’t use it very often.

Has anyone purchased the Light Therapy Mask?

    What are your opinions?
