‘Natural Instincts’ in trouble with Consumer Watchdog!

I have just received an article that the ACCC are investigating Natural Instincts for misleading labelling. Finally someone may be doing something about false and misleading advertising within the cosmetics industry. Hopefully this will send a message to other manufacturers. I have included a link to the article.

Preciousia I don`t want to have to defend myself, add to this nonsense, or “”truth tell”” but I suppose I have to. I`ve stayed away from the forums because of your constant copy and paste diatribes. They are unbearable. I miss my friends and we communicate outside of BH and participate here in other ways, just not in the forums. I was relieved when you disappeared for a while because I was sick of you constantly posting long winded copied and pasted posts, all linking to your blog website and shop, and privately contacting members to sell them products. Don`t tell people to “”lawyer up””. Just stop with all this and be a decent person. I try to stay out of all this, as do many other long term members, but I`ve had enough of your spamming, your selling, and now your attacking of one of our valued members and your appalling breach of her privacy.
I have no interest in your reply so honestly don`t bother. I`m going to bed.

Preciousia people who profess to be fond of “”truth telling”” should be very careful not to blot their own copybook. Your conduct here – both before and after your little hiatus – has not always been exemplary, tonight included. I think you`ve said more than enough.

This resurrected forum is over 7 years old!!! Topic created in April 2009.

I would trust that any misdemeanour Natural Instinct may have been accused of would have been resolved 7 years later.

So many products unfortunately claim to be natural when they`re not. It`s unfair that consumers are being misled. Ingredients listings should include everything. I`m trying to make a conscious effort to buy products which don`t contain sulfates or parabens and other chemical nasties.

Oh I just bought a Natural Instinct cleanser today!
I wonder how it went….I looked at the ingredients and made the decision to purchase it based off that.

I can`t say I am surprised by this but I am disappointed. I won`t disclose what industry I work in or how I know this but I can confirm Sukin is not a natural/organic brand either… when they first launched I purchased a lot of their range, but have not repurchased since and I`m not interested.

Ooh Elmo, you`ll have to let me know how the moisturiser goes! Hopefully it`ll suit your skin perfectly 🙂

it would be great if the ACCC created some more guidelines & stricter standards, monitoring etc of products. At least this is one case where they have found a wrong & are doing something about it, Imagine how much shakeup would occur if they clamped down on all the brands…..It would be Chaos for a while & i`m sure lawsuits would abound!
