La Mer at Mecca Cosmetics

I went to Mecca Maxima a couple of days ago, and not one single person approached me until I was about to walk out the store. I was in there for a good twenty minutes, had shopping bags in my hands and had been picking up products.

Annoying.

Mecca Maxima and Mecca Cosmetica are the same company. Kit Cosmetics is also owned by Mecca. Very successful enterprise!

To blow the theory of exclusivity out the window, I went into Mecca Maxima today and blow me down if La Mer wasn’t featured in their store too!

They’re right about me being more likely to buy it from Mecca than from DJ’s! I know I splurge there constantly haha but yeah, still not sure I’d ever be able to justify that price tag!

saw that email too day. I think La Mer is extending the distribution channel to Mecca with a hope that they can sell more products as Mecca tends to be the place where we all splurge!

That thread made my laugh, especially the comment about the price of the product. I agree that it is very expensive and it does contain mineral oil ( which I don’t mind anyway). I have a 15ml jar from the Best in Beauty pack I won last year. I find it a very good moisturiser but I wouldn’t’ the honest if I didn’t say I was a bit anxious to start using it as I have got combination/ oily skin. It does make my skin smooth and hydrated. A lovely treatment while on retinoids when your skin is dehydrated. But this is not the point of my comment….I started laughing because just yesterday I was browsing in department shops in Poland and….. Saw a FACE CREAM, namely SISLEY SUPREYMA or something like that with the price tag of 930$!!!! So I guess La Mer might not be that expensive……

I had a look at the Creme De La Mer awhile ago, What really put me off was that mineral oil was the second ingredient!

Can any normal human really afford La Mer?!
