Brushes for Cert II in Makeup?

Not sure if this in the right category but fingers crossed!
I’m looking at doing a Certificate II in Retail Makeup and Skincare from the Academy of Makeup here in Brisbane. They recommend the Gorgeous Cosmetics brush roll which runs for $220, and I can get Sigma or Furless and a number of other brands for much less (and I trust their quality). Can anyone please recommend me a good brush set for this particular certificate or a makeup-related course in general?

Also if anyone here has done this course would you recommend getting the Makeup Kit that they recommend (also by Gorgeous Cosmetics)?

    I would have thought they would include the brushes in the cost of the course!

    Keep in mind, if you are going to buy Sigma from overseas, you may not be able to claim the cost in your tax return. Check with the ATO.

    Another consideration would be BH Cosmetics. Their brushes are pretty darn good too, but then Sigma is known to be an excellent dupe for MAC brushes, so keep that in mind.
