Waxing – Breaking Hairs, not Removing

I have very fine hair (legs, bikini area) & have found that waxing (professional) is not pulling out the hair as much as just breaks it off

Any advice as to how to stop this happening? Have tried growing the hair as long as I can stand it & it makes no difference!

I would just get your legs waxed every 4-6 weeks, hair any longer will just hurt you. Hair breakage comes down to genetics (do you find your head hair breaks easily?) or the waxers technique. She/he should be pulling the wax strip up (towards your upper body) & along parallell to your skin not pulling upwards (towards the ceiling) as this can break the hairs. To try get a better wax make sure to exfoliate the night before to get rid of all the dead skin & to let loose any hairs trapped under the skin 🙂

I dont find waxing painful what-so-ever so length is not a factor.
Have been to variuos waxers & it doesnt really make much of a difference.
My head hair doesnt really break that easiliy – it is fine (but lots of it) if thats a factor?
And always exfoliate – I guess this problem must be just perculiar to me I guess!
    Thanks for all the replies!

If it is too long it tends to break off more.
I’m sorry I don’t really have an solutions. I think it must be typical for fine hair as it happens to mine to no matter what I do.

i didnt know that – thought I was doing the right thing letting it get long. None of the waxing places ever said that … its why we come to beautyheaven, lol

I always find the longer the hair is the more waxing hurts, it could be the length, the wax itself or the angle the the strip is being pulled off.
