Under eye fillers and eye creams

I have very deep set tear troughs and am considering getting under eye filler as I’m quite self conscious about them and think they are making me look very tired.

I’ve tried numerous concealing techniques which don’t make any difference. I would love to hear from anyone that’s had this procedure or has found an eye cream that’s made a noticeable difference!

Hi Belleluxe, since you started this thread, I’ve taken more notice of my tear troughs, which are deeper than yours. Anyways, I religiously use eye cream and have not seen an improvement. However, I recently started using sheet masks and I noticed the most obvious improvement in my troughs after using this particular mask:

I’ll have to use it a second time to verify, but if my troughs improve further, I’m going to stock up on masks from this brand.

I got this from the Priceline goody bag, so I have no other experience with this brand. The other beauties on the forum can probably tell us about their experiences with it.

Oh no! I didn`t mean to make anyone scrutinize their face 🙁

I will pick this up and give it a try! I usually use a cheap Korean brand from Mecca but I don`t think they make any difference tbh

No your fault Belleluxe. It`s something I`ve always noticed but never pinpointed the actual problem. It`s good though for me to try and correct or improve it before I get older.

I joined this forum around three months ago and my skin has never been in better shape just from reading about products and trying new things. So I would say your thread has actually helped me.

Oh good! I agree with you, this site is a goldmine of information

Took a screen shot of this to check out next time I`m in Priceline! Wonder if it could help my under eye problems. Will report back!

That`s great Lizabella. Independent verification. If it works for you, I`m going to buy loads to keep. It`s also on sale at Priceline right now. Please let me know how it goes.

Ooh, perfect, hopefully it`s still on sale this weekend when I can get there! Thanks GeeJ, I will definitely let you know 🙂

I agree wholeheartedly to what all the Beauties have said and Im so jealous of your gorgeous eyes! Their pretty colour is very striking. Don’t listen to that evil self criticism and whenever you feel any doubt, read through this thread again! We all think your gorgeous so own it! 🙂

You’re all so sweet it’s actually bought tears to my eyes. I’ve spent my whole life thinking I was ugly (thanks mum!) and your compliments seem so genuine. Sending love to all the beautiful souls on here xx

Just reading this now and honestly Belleluxe – you are absolutely gorgeous and I am not seeing what you are saying you can see. It’s up to you what you choose but I know there are people out there that could advise you on make-up ways of helping you.

I will be interested to see which path you take though but it is your decision.

It sounds like you went to a good clinic. The lady could have lied and did it just to get some money. I agree it’s not necessary, and you’ve gotten some really good advice from other members. Sometimes we get hung up on our imperfections too much and blow things out of proportion. .

Damn girl you look amazing! I see no need for fillers and they don’t appear to be anywhere near as dark as mine.

Honestly I think you look great and don’t need anything done, but if you would feel more comfortable then it’s your call.

  • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

I agree with Trish, I am trying to see why you would need eye fillers, I can’t see any visibly obvious reason why? I honestly don’t think you need them but as the other beauties have said if you really, really feel that it is what you want perhaps get a second opinion/advice from another clinic.

Thanks girls, I’ve attached a pic to show you what I mean. The lady said I don’t have tear troughs but they seem very noticeable to me, especially when I wear makeup. Can I get your honest thoughts?

    • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

Hi Belleluxe, I`m in my 30s too and my troughs are way worse. You`re really pretty and sometimes it`s easy to focus on minor imperfections. The best way to look at it is consider if the risks associated with the procedure are worth it. For example you may get the fillers and spend loads and still not like the outcome.

Beautiful photo, Belleluxe. To my ancient eyes you look beautiful and your skin is beautiful. I`d be incredibly surprised if anyone but you noticed anything that looked “”unusual.”” Have you tried getting advice from a REALLY GOOD makeup artist to see how you could lessen the effect so YOU don`t feel less than lovely?

I wish I could offer more advice or help to make you see what I`m seeing as a lovely, fresh young face with no flaws!!

I have a suggestion – email Sophie, BH makeup guru, ask her to look at this thread and offer her advice with the makeup. I`m not completely sure of Sophie`s email but if you email info@beautyheaven and ask for it to be forwarded to Sophie it should get to her. Look after yourself.

Good idea about Sophie Trish_D. Maybe someone should start a thread makeup videos we`d like to see Sophie do.

Thank you so much! That means a lot. Since I`ve hit my 30`s I`ve become so critical of my face. I`ll take everyone`s suggestions on board and leave my face alone.

      • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

Good girl, Belleluxe. I hope you can see what we`re seeing in your beauty and not be critical of yourself. You ARE beautiful but the decision has to be yours and something you`re comfortable with. Step back and see how you feel after a while and know we`re here to support you. Hugs if you do hugs, otherwise High fives – or both!

So I went to a clinic today and the lady told me she doesn’t think there is anything wrong with my face and advised strongly against getting under eye filler. I’m really confused. Can I post a pic to get everyone’s opinions?

    • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

Belleluxe, only you can make a decision like this – often we are our own worst critics but if it is affecting you then it becomes a completely different issue. From someone old enough to be your Grandmother, I`d advise caution, especially when someone from a clinic advised against eye fillers – but as I said, if it is actually affecting YOU it needs to be your decision.

Do you have a trusted doctor who will give unbiased opinions and also suggest where to next? I know absolutely nothing about what you`re considering but I have a horror of anything like this where something could go wrong if not handled expertly.

Good luck – I hope I`m not overstepping the mark with voicing my concern for you. I`m sure it would be fine to post a photo if you want to.

      • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

        Great advice Trish, I agree.

I certainly think the decision is yours to make for yourself, but if the clinic advised you against it, I`d be inclined to listen to them (especially considering that if they just wanted your money they would have booked you in without hesitation, so it sounds like they really don`t think it`s right for you or that you need it!).
That being said, if it`s something that is really bothering you, and you think you will be happier having the procedure, perhaps seek a second opinion from another reputable clinic.

      • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

Thanks, Lizabella. I agree with you, too.

  • 5 yrs, 5 mths ago

That said, try Stila’s Correct and Perfect palette paired with Touche Eclat or Dream Lumi Touch.

    I find that helps.
