Under eye concealer – help!

Hi beauties. My first time starting a thread! I was wondering if anyone had some advice for me. I have really wrinkly skin under my eyes, and no matter what concealer I use, it always creases terribly and makes me look 100 years old (I’m 29!).
I’ve tried heaps of different concealers, an under eye primer, tried moisturising immediately beforehand, using setting powder, using NO concealer (just foundation), but I still haven’t found a solution. I’m curious to know if anyone has had a similar problem and found a solution. I’m not worried about how it looks without makeup, but I’d like my makeup to look nice when I do make the effort.
Thanks in advance!

These tips are so helpful, thanks ladies! After using less concealer I’ve noticed an improvement in the look of my under eye area. I have very dark circles and I have lines, so now I concentrate mostly on the dark circles with concealer. Also before I start applying makeup, I dab a little facial oil on my fine lines.

A tip that I picked up from a BH article is to spray a brush with setting spray before blending out the concealer. This helps with not only longevity, but I find it helps blend out the concealer, too.

Not a concealer, but I use MAC’s paint pot in soft ochre as my concealer. I just pop it under my eyes and on my nose, put my foundation and powder on top, and it lasts all day.

Oh that`s interesting, thanks! I haven`t heard of it being used that way before, might have to give it a go 🙂

The ordinary has a great serum called caffeine solution 5%. It’s cheap as chips and is targeted for darkness and puffyness around the eye area. I have creasing under my eyes and dark circles so thought I would give this a go for the dark circles but it has plumped the skin and hydrated it so my creases aren’t so noticeable anymore. It’s amazing stuff. It’s quite watery but maybe this applied before your eye cream might make a difference to your concealer. It has for me.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions, I think I’ll need to try a few new concealers! Might need to use my points from the Rewards Room to test a few out! Xx

I don’t have wrinkly skin but lines under my eyes where concealer tends to crease and I find the best way to deal with it is keeping my eyes moisturised. I use the Kiehl’s midnight recovery eye treatment every night and that really plumps and smooths the skin.
For me personally, I find application to be a big thing. Rather than swiping my entire under eye area with concealer I just put tiny dots onto my dark circles – it’s like barely any concealer. You’d think that it won’t cover the dark circles, but a few small dots are plenty to do the job. And then I just pat it in either using my fingers or a small sponge and I only focus on the dark areas. It’s kind of hard to explain but the area where my dark circles are, is just underneath my eye creases. So I avoid placing product where my creases are.

I’ve been using Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles all YouTubers rave about and it is fantastic. It gives that perfect cover and brightness, I really love, it applies smoothly and blends perfectly.

Macs new 24 hour concealer is fantastic for blendablity and being very natural finish.
