Trial Team Dilemma

Whew! It’s been ages since I’ve posted something!

Anyway, here’s my dilemma.

I can’t remember the last time I was on a trial team. I’m not even sure if I tried anything this year because it has been such a long time.

Anyone else in my boat?

What do I do? I really miss being on the trial team! >,<

P.S. It’s the day this blue butterfly broke from its cocoon, if you get what I mean. =)

I also think maybe they balance it between trials and events, so I’ve only trialled one thing, but now with the BH bday event it will be my second in person event.

So, I really can’t complain it’s fantastic being able to meet everyone in person and get goodies on the day 🙂

I have been a member of the trial team for quite some time. I don’t get offers every 2 months but I do get some wonderful products to trial and I try to give each product as long as possible to try before posting my opinion. Getting products too often makes it difficult to give each product the time and trial it may deserve. Also, some products suit others better depending on their skin type, age, and of course if the beauty is a user of such a product. Check with Tina if the time lapse has been too long and you are ready to trial something, keep your profile updated, or check it every so often in case further information is needed. Be active on the site.

I emailed Tina once earlier this year because i haven’t been invited for a trial for some months. She emailed me back straight away and i got an invitation.

    I agree… I’ve never had a trial… I’ve been a member for over 2 years and on the “list” for a good year… Still waiting….

I used to think that being more active on forums/review writing would mean more trial opportunities. I have been very active this year and I myself have trialed one skincare and three sets of hair products this year. However when I look at other people on other skin/makeup trials I can’t say that they are all active members (some of them had written very few reviews and some of them I don’t recognise their names at all).

    I think it’s all a bit random.

And by the way I won’t be accepting any more hair product trial because I am suffering from postpartum hair loss. I don’t get invited to do skincare/makeup trials often so this might be it before the end of the year.

I very rarely get a trial invite and have trialled one product recently. I was thrilled to get a discovery bag so Beautyheaven do look after us all, just hang in there I find they’re really fair.

I’d done rather well with 3 trials in the beginning months of this year, but I was also posting reviews about 3 times a week and active on the forum and articles etc.

I’ve hardly done anything over the last few months and have really noticed everything else dry up. Work is getting back on a more manageable scale now though so fingers crossed for another trial too. But I do feel you have to earn it. 🙂

So true! I noticed that the more active I am, the more I get. So it`s give and take kind of thing. Too bad I`ve got uni full-time x(

I haven’t received an invite for a while either but I am pretty busy at the moment with workanyway and will be travelling overseas for 7 weeks in November as well, hope I don’t get an invite to trial something while I’m away!

You`re still on bronze level mervekayikci, you have to hit silver level or above to be on the trial teams.
