Ok, just been doing some research and answered my own question. There are specific eye creams with SPF in them so..... retinol eye cream at night and SPF eye cream during the day.
I would only use Retinol during the night because that when your body does its restoration.
Yes only at night from what I have heard as retinol makes your skin more sensitive to the sun so its recommended to use only at night. Curious to hear your thoughts on it janefre, I am thinking of incorporating retinol into my reigme.
I use a tinted mineral sunscreen everyday, even on my eyelids after using tretinoin 0.05 in the evening. I don't use eye creams as I heard they are diluted face creams and essentially a marketing ploy.
I'm thinking of trying the La Roche Posay Anthelios xl sunscreen, its chemical one but has got some good reviews.
Sunglasses with proper sun protection lenses! They protect your eyeballs as well as your eyelids/under eye area. I am horrible at remembering to wear mine though!
I second the sunglasses! Sunglasses are a huge part of anti-aging anyway... I wear them pretty much whenever I can get away with it without looking completely ridiculous - they stop you from squinting (which creates crows feet and frown lines) and with the right lenses they provide sun protection too!
Sunglasses and a physical sunscreen.
Colorescience make an SPF 50 Brush On Shield in a few different shades for around $70-$80; they also make a 3 in 1 eye product with decent SPF.
Tarte make a similar product to the Brush On Shield at a cheaper price point.
