Was at Chemist Warehouse and realised that some of the new Rimmel matte lipsticks are similar to the bite beauty lipsticks. Here are swatches for anyone interested.
Essence longlasting lipsticks. They are not dupes but are just as good as the more expensive brands. They are about $5 from priceline and target. I like getting essence makeup from priceline because target doesn’t seal their makeup which is kinda gross.
I feel like the best dupes for high-end brands are ‘drugstore’ brands available in the US – which you can often get from eBay for a good price, though it’s worth stocking up to keep shipping costs down as much as possible. There are some good blogs that feature dupes comparisons!

I have Rimmel Asia which is very similar to MAC twig, Revlon matte balm in unapologetic is similar to MAC impassioned, rimmel 111 kiss of life looks like MAC ruby woo, to name a few
Natio lipsticks! They have a great colour range available and are i think about $14.95 in chemists, Priceline and in Myer. The pigment is so amazing i went swatch crazy last time i was in Myer and ever single one that i tried was amazing i would love to own them all. I am a liquid lipstick addict because i don’t like the thick cakey look most regular lipsticks give you and Natio lipsticks are the best regular lipsticks i have tried so far. I own some Maybelline, Rimmel and Body Shop lipsticks but they just don’t really compare to the Natio ones for pigment and texture. If you are interested in liquid to matte lipsticks i would also suggest trying to get your hands on a Jeffree Star lipstick online they are the best lipstick formula i have ever tried.
NYX soft matte lip cream in ‘Abu Dhabi’ or ‘London’ are very similar to MAC ‘Velvet Teddy’. You can buy NYX from target and they are so inexpensive and to be honest I like the soft matte lip cream better than my velvet teddy as I find it too drying on my lips but it doesn’t feel like I have anything on my lips with the NYX and makes my lips feel soft as the name suggests. They go on like a gloss but dry matte which I find easier to apply. Would definitely recommend giving these a try.
Was there a particular shade you’re after? Or just a good quality lippy for less? If so, my favourite cheapies are Rimmel London Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick and L’Oréal Colour Riche Lipstick (it’s still less than MAC but a bit more than Rimmel).
