Laser Hair Removal

Anyone had it done? How was your experience?

I’m booked in at Neo Skin South Melbourne to have my 1st consultation followed by treatment next week 🙂 I’m super excited/nervous as I’ve heard of how painful it can be.

I’ve had ten sessions (full Brazillian) at Hairfree. I still have a few little fuzzies but it does get expensive to keep going back and going back. While I’m not completely hairless, I’m very happy with the results I’ve had, the reduction in most areas has been fantastic.
I’m contemplating having my underarms done, it’s a little cheaper as it’s a smaller area and I find them really difficult to shave. Might have to wait until after xmas though.

Ive had SIPL at Hair Free previously and now go to Clear Skincare Clinics which is cheaper and they are licensed by the Qld government so safer http://www.clearskincareclinics.com.au

Clear Skincare is definitely cheaper and they use laser machines not IPL. If you have darker skin it can get painful for a split second but thats it. I’ve found it works better on areas with thick hair. Thin hair areas like the upper lip may take awhile and can also make the hair thicker.

Definitely worth it if you don’t want to shave but can get pricey but better in the long term

I’ve been using Laser hair removal for about 5 years now because of my PCOS. I go to a cosmetic centre that has a dermatologist who did the initial consult and referred me to an endocrinologist. A registered nurse does the laser.

It’s the best investment I’ve made, because it’s given me back my confidence! I’m not worried about what people might think of me, or avoiding certain things. I’m not that self conscience with myself as I used to be.

There were some hurdles to begin with. I used to get laser burns. But these burns werre a reaction caused by the anaestetic cream and the laser together. Since I stopped using this cream, everything has gone smoothly… abeit just a little more pain. But hey, no pain no gain!

Most the hair has deminished or gone. nothing like it used to be!

I have had IPL – the crap version of Laser. With IPL the effects only last about the month. It’s supposed to lead to permanent hair loss but now, after about a BAZillion treatments, I’m seriously doubting it.

Please let us know your experience.. I can’t wait!

I haven’t had laser hair removal but I have had electrolysis on my face. Electrolysis is VERY PAINFUL but I am told that laser is not nearly as painful. Good luck Allyhump.>
