If you are asked to spend at least $50 in Mecca or Sephora

Hi beauties. I need some ideas on how to spend my money :O.

I have signed up to an Amex card offer where I can get $20 off every $50 (in one transaction). I am dead set to spend my money in either Sephora or Mecca (inside Myer) or both (using my hubby’s credit card too).

The question is what to buy! It must be over $50 but the closer it is to $50 the better. I could be a combination of a few items as long as they add up to over $50.

I am open to anything – brushes, makeup, skincare, etc. Ideas please?

    Zoeva brushes are the best. Seriously, if you are going to spend your money on brushes these are way better than mac or real techniques. I have a set of these and they were probably the best purchase I made last year.

    At least I wasn`t addicted to something worse :p I am not going near subscription boxes! They are horrible. And what if I like the products? Which means buying more products.

    Buy what you need, new countouring brushes? Foundation? Lipstick? Body butter? I could spend $50 in a blink

      Ellevs thanks for bringing up the brushes suggestion. I definitely can use some more. That would speed up my work too as I dont have to clean the same brushes multiple time between clients.

      Just had a look at sephora. It reminded me that I wanted to try the Zoeva brushes for a while but never gotten around to. Great suggestion, thank u!

        Yes! Definitely check out the Zoeva brushes – absolutely love the 109 Luxe Face Paint brush… great for your contour!

    Definitely recommend the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask from Mecca! It’s amazing!! So nourishing! Smells great! $39 for 100ml.

    That or an Hourglass blush or ambient lighting powder!

      OMG i have actually used the same mask last night! I have it. My brother recommended it to me and I dare say it`s one of his greatest contributions, haha

      I will also check out the Hourglass ambient lighting powder. Thanks for your suggestion! I also took my hubby`s 2 Amex cards to shop. Lol.

    I agree, I’d buy a Too Faced eyeshadow palette, but I’d get the Boudoir Eyes or Natural Eyes eyeshadow palettes which are $54 each. I’d also love to get the Limited Edition NARS Jumbo Orgasm Blush for $58. It is such a beautiful colour! It would e a tough choice what to buy. Good luck and happy shopping! 🙂

      $54 is what I like to see haha. Just over $50 is great! I just searched the Too Faces Natural palette it looks fantastic. Boudoir is not so much my colour. Thanks so much for the suggestion!! I still have another unopened orgasm so I will skip that one for now.

    Yes! Get an eyeshadow palette! I second the Too Fced chocolate bar. Or, I’ve had my eye on Laura Mercier transluscent powder, I think it’s over $60 but everyone on YouTube just raves about it.

      Thanks Beauty Jem! Okay eyeshadow palette that is! I think I have a laura mercier powder actually! Can`t remember whether it is a matte one or illuminating. Probably the illuminating one (knowing myself and my preferences)

    skincare junkie perhaps makeup for your work as a MUA which you need anyway?Unless you have something you need to get. After we discussed our stash, i am pretty determined not to stock up too much just because of sales or gwp. So i have been buying on the needs basis now that i am fully stocked.

    btw: did you manage to figure out the quantity of moisturiser you use a month? I have been rotating btw a few different brands and can’t pinpoint exactly. Also using much more moisturiser now bcoz of Tretinoin. I calculated the time value of moisturisers i have and it stands at over 1 year in day moisturiser and over 1 year in night moisturisers if i were to use 30ml a month. pretty sure i use less than 30ml a month so the calcs will be even worse. I will give some away to mom and sisters to cull the stash otherwise i’ll be keeping the stuff too long.

      Hi preciousiathanks for that. I should definitely think more from the makeup angle rather than the skincare angle hey. Since we discussed our stash, I have at least doubled my skincare stash while you were away (palm face). I am even afraid to count my skincare stuff now. I just stuff them into my wardrobe and close the door.

      Roughly speaking I use 30mL cream moisturiser per month (if used day and night). Plus about 15 mL for my neck area. But this is a very rough estimate. I use more (close to double) if the moisturiser is thin or oil free.
