Dry and peeling cuticles – help!

My nails are in pretty terrible shape – I occasionally try to use cuticle oil to push back the cuticles – but lately they are just chronically dry and always peeling! I heard there some cuticle creams or something out there that’s supposed to help (I do use hand cream at least once a day but that doesn’t seem to do much for my cuticles!) – can someone suggest what I need to do to fix this? Thanks 🙂

I`ve got the same problem Elmo, I switched from anti-bacterial hand wash to softening hand wash & they haven`t been as bad since then.

Try warm olive oil and put your hands in rubber gloves to produce heat. I suffer from dry and cut cuticles and then I tend to bite bits off because they annoy me. so my mum told me back in the old days in winter and your skin would crack from the cold, she would warm olive oil and put it on her hands and nails and put them in rubber gloves (must be fitted) and then heat will make the oil penetrate into the cuticles and nourish them.
