Best makeup for sensitive eyes

My eyes have become more sensitive recently, can anyone recommend some eye makeup products which are good for sensitive eyes?

I have the same problem and have found Almay eyeliner and mascaras to be the best. They never irritate my eyes.

I have issues with sensitve eyes as well and as a result I hardly wear any eye makeup, I wish I could wear it.

I scared it`s going to get to that point. Luckily I can tint my lashes without any reaction but I might get lash extensions again just to avoid the panda eye effect I`m getting with every mascara at the moment.

I have quite sensitive eyes and find Innoxa mascaras to be very good and definitely non-irritating. Plus I find I get great looking lashes with them

Make sure you don’t use any product with sunblock too close to your eyes too

And if you’re not using Micellar Water to remove your eye makeup, I suggest giving it a go, it’s so gentle and effective

Where do you buy your Innoxa makeup from? Great tip about the sunscreen, I`ll have to keep an eye on that.

Myers is great for Innoxa, as are big size Priceline stores, or Priceline`s online store. I often get mine as a GWP too, keep an eye out for special deals, they do them regularly

My eyes are sensitive too and I find hypoallergenic brands such as Physicans Formula, Innoxa, Clinique etc.. are specifically made for sensitive areas . Normally these cosmetics are fragrance free, or organics that don’t have chemicals that cause reactions . I am allergy sufferer mainly during summer season and my eyes can become watery and itchy and it affects my nose and throat which I cough . So maybe it is the weather conditions aggravating your eyes too. Hope you find something suitable soon .

I definitely agree with Physicians Formula. iHerb has the authentic thing for dirt cheap, plus a further 20% off atm. I love their eye booster eyeliner and butter bronzer.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale! I love iherb, it`s the only place I can get Stridex pads . Gotta love all the sales this time of year .

Thanks! I`ve been using a clinique mascara that`s been ok, so I might have to overhaul my makeup collection :/

nm86, I have super sensitive eyes and I`ve given up trying to find a mascara I can use, unfortunately. I wanted one for a recent wedding and having used Clinique without problems some time ago I bought a new Clinique mascara. I had a really bad reaction quickly! There was no issue with me returning the product.

Good luck – I used to wear eye makeup daily, now I use it occasionally only because of the problems I have. One of the best parts of buying a good brand is that if you do have a reaction you rarely have a problem returning the item with your receipt.

That`s true. I just look at my collection and get sad at the though of giving it all away 🙁 and buying all new stuff… my bank account is going to take a hit!

Here is a good article from BeautyHeaven which may help you out. I find Natio also works well for me and my sensitive eye area.

Thank you! Will definitely check it out. Have you ever tried using eye drops before you do your makeup?

No I haven`t! its more the skin around my eye area than my eyes itself for me!
