A haircut improves my complexion – where can I get the bottle?

I find that when I have a haircut my complexion improves significantly for about a week. My skin has a bit of a glow, seems plumper and more even and the appearance of pores is improved.

I would be interested to know if anyone else experiences this and why this might be? Rather than have my hair cut every single week, is there any product I could use that may replicate this effect?

I have Googled this and asked my hairdresser but found no answers. I am certain that this is not just an effect of my hair being shorter – my complexion is markedly better.

I am male with pale skin and am 36. I already use a scrub every other day, a rose clay mask once a week (which helps a little for about a day), and I also use retinol every day.

Thank you.

Do you wash your hair at home after a cut? Could it be the hair products you use in your house are irritating? Or not cleaning your hair effectively (ie a build up of product?). Let us know how you go, good luck.

    Maybe get a scalp massage

    That’s actually fascinating.

Have you tried massaging your scalp, or getting it massaged? My best guess would be it is a pressure/blood flow type thing and maybe scalp massages can trigger a similar reaction?

I think maybe thats it! I love going to saloon for hair wash for their head & shoulder massages.

Do you have a fringe? It could be that your hair is slightly oily and it touches your face during the day or overnight, and when you have a hair cut it reduces the amount of contact with your face?

Does your salon use any specific brand of shampoos or conditioners? Maybe try that?

    Glowing confidence?

That, or maybe less hair for pollutants and oils to camp out in?
