I have sometimes heard organic food fills you up better.. so your portions are alot smaller and you dont need to buy as much food as you think. Not to mention how good it is for you! My uncle is an organic farmer in QLD although he is trying to re develop his farm from i think the last cyclone that passed a few years back and the equipment he uses and the amount of time he invests into delivery good quality fresh organic food bumps at the prices.. its not an easy job. if you have any other questions i can ask him hes just a phone call away…

There are many and varied reasons people choose to consume organic produce; some of these are health related, some aren`t. It`s a personal choice that is unfortunately affected, for some, by the price of organic foods at the supermarket. But as KittyKat Krush suggested, it`s not always more expensive to purchase this way, you`ve just got to hunt out the best deals.
It`s worth doing a bit of research into the how`s and why`s of organics for yourself, to decide if the benefits are there for you.

Organic is tastier and some organic things are cheaper than the fruit and veg at the supermarket.
It needs to be certified otherwise you dont know what you are really buying. I find it funny that we are happy to spend money on expensive medicines yet think a couple of dollars extra on fruit, veg and vitamins is to expensive.
What is your health worth, is the big question. The farmers market in St Kilda is worth visiting.
