Perhaps you could try removing your cuticles? I don’t mean using the cuticle scissors if you’re a beginner, it’s recommended to avoid cuticle scissors actually. Cuticle removers come in a liquid or cream form, I used the Sally Hansen Cuticle Eraser & Balm once and it did work! (It’s 30% on Priceline right now) I prefer the balms because I don’t have excess skin, and it’ll also moisturise the skin but, that particular product is greasy; do this at night.
If you’re using a cuticle remover that is a liquid, you can use a cuticle stick to GENTLY push back and remove the excess skin. Key word is GENTLY. It should not hurt, if it does, stop or try using a lighter hand. Or, use your thumb to push back, either works fine.
Once it’s removed, wash your hands and moisturise with cuticle oil or hand cream! So, cuticle (remover) balms work and moisturise but cuticle removers in the form of a liquid is faster.
