Cracked heels ALL THE TIME!!

I need a really good product for my feet, they’re so dry, I’ve tried milky foot, I’ve tried a few balms, the only thing that’s helped is the antipodes saviour balm but it costs too much to use it on my feet (and I have to use a lot) but once I stop using something, within the next couple of days it’s back to how it was.

So I need something with long lasting results or something affordable enough to use it all the time?

Any suggestions would be wonderful, thank you <3

I agree with the comment about drinking enough water and be careful of footwear as thongs and some sandals really exacerbate cracked heels. A fantastic product that can help is L’Occitane’s Creme Relax Pieds – Relaxing Foot Cream, as it keeps my heels smooth and usually crack free.

I have this same issue..I use vaseline petroleum jelly or vaseline cracked heels creme. Both helped a lot but what helped even more was almond oil or any kind of oil I reckon will make the skin soft and not dry or cracked looking although it makes it super sticky but I guess that’s a sacrifice I’ll have to make. Exfoliation is a must with some sort of heel file. There is an electronic filer now by Scholl’s which is pretty effective and convenient.

Sue1951 has the right idea, any moisturizer will do if you keep it on long enough… I too had cracked heels, my nightly regime now involves exfoliating my feet then rubbing moisturizer in for about 10 mins, then lathering up and slipping bags or old socks over the top and leaving for the night

Once per week I do a big soak and exfoliate.. Exfoliating is just as important t as moisturizing, you need the moisturizer to get absorbed!! Don’t forget!!!

Hi Eulactol heel balm is great and affordable. Also u can try neutrogena foot cream, its good and the smell is good to. U can put the cream on, put night socks on(not too tight as it will effect blood circulation) and sleep. I am sure u will see good results soon. Take care.

I have always had a problem with cracked heels and dry skin. I now use Palmers Cocoa Butter moisturising body oil on my heels every night. I put it on just before bed and pop on some socks overnight. I have been doing this for a few months now and I have seen a massive improvement. It smells nice too!

I second Vaseline. Cheap and you can leave overnight.

For something cheap, Vaseline works but it is greasy. I used to massage it on and slip on plastic freezer bags on my feet before putting on socks. Leave the plastic bag on as long as you can bear them, then leave the socks on your feet over night. Are you walking around bare foot a lot, or wearing open heeled shoes or sandals? I find that if I do either of these things to often, I end up with cracked dry heels.

Also, are you dieting and not having much fats (oils/margarine/butter) as that made my skin dry out quicker too.

Another cheaper still remedy my mother used to use, was cooking oil or olive oil, and even the ‘lard’ or fat left from cooking! She mixed it with sugar and rubbed that on her feet and heels to soften them – a real old fashioned tip but it did work.

I hope these tips help you, and let us know how you go.
