Soak Off Gel Polish

I’ve recently stepped into the world of soak off gel polish and was wondering what everyone’s favourite brands are?

Currently I am using gelicious and a couple of Jacqueline Burchell polishes.

Emms29, I actually meant I was using the remover with conditioner after completing the gel coat to remove the sticky residue left from the clear coat…. I was just sharing my personal experience and what worked for me. As soon as I switched the remover I went from them peeling after 1-2 days to lasting over a week so far and still going…

as in the supplied tacky layer remover ? oh how weird. suppose its all a bit of trial and error with home kits 😉

I hope the acetone works for your dorms and imi11! I haven’t tried any other brands but will check out your suggestions imi11. 🙂 thanks

ladies , dehydrate the nail and make sure the true cuticle is pushed back first 🙂
removing the previous colour with a conditioning remover isnt going to prevent adhesion , its just less drying to skin etc .

I’ve got to say Im a gelicious fan as well. I have soooo many colours…. it will never be enough though! ha ha

At the moment I’m wearing Lights Out with Lady Lauryn over the top. Been on for a whole week now without a single chip! 🙂 Hooray!! I had a bit of trouble at the start and found they kept lifting and peeling off after a day or 2 but I discovered that the remover I was using had conditioners in it which was causing the lifting. Using a super cheap remover now which works like a charm! 🙂

Now I know what the problem is!I should probably get some pure acetone!

I’ve used Gelish, which is great and IBD which is also pretty good and you can get them off ebay cheaply.

rufusbabe I also have had a bit of lifting and whatnot within the first week (this week will be my 3rd gelicious mani!), I have some pure acetone to use rather than the nail polish remover, fingers crossed my problem will be solved too!

Have you used any other brands at all?
