Nail polish bubbles?

Hi ladies
i went through and search the forum for this topic, but there’s nothing to help me with this problem.

I notice most of the time that i apply nail polish (usualy night time before i brush my teeth and have contact with water), when i wake up the next morning, they are absolutely beautiful and not smudged at all. But i notice little bubbles are formed on that nail polish on my nails. I am not sure what the problem is and how i can reduce this next time i apply them.

Please HELP anyone??

Instead of shaking the bottle, slowly roll the nail polish bottle between your hands so you can mix the formulas back together! (25-30 seconds) I get frightened and paranoid when people shake nail polish bottles prior painting!

So I know now not to shake the bottle. I have been having real issues with that and my lasting finish Rimmel nail polish chipping in my sleep on the 1st nights wear. Anyway thats another story.

Note to Self: do not shake nail polish 🙂

I never knew shaking caused the bubbles. I could have solved all my problems years ago!

Neither did i Caitlin!! I was surprised and it all makes sense now, thanks to the experienced ladies here!

Sorry ladies been away for these 2 days. And yes, I do all the sins mentioned here. I shake my polish sooo hard during application even when i felt like it gets abit dry, also i blow them like crazy in order to make them dry and…. I also apply thick coats lol. I am pretty sure i let every layer dry properly. Thank you soooo much ladies! I will remember to roll my polish instead and apply thin layers. I get these bubbles all the time!

    you should do thin coats,
let each coat to dry (or see below)
do not shake the bottle (you can gently roll it in your hand if needed)
and DO NOT wave your arms about, blow on them, or let the breeze, fan or aircon blow on them (this is one of the biggest causes).

I got so sick of spending ages doing my nails so I now use Poshe super fast drying top coat and it is amazing. a life saver.
I just go base coat, 2 or 3 coats of colour, Poshe, with no break between and my nails are dry within 10 minutes. and no bubbles! 🙂
you can get it at adore beauty and crush cosmetics if interested.

That was amazingly helpful. My nail polish always smudges so I used to wave them around like a crazy person and I had SO many tiny bubbles in my polish. Frustrated me to no end.

But this definitely helps, it is so reliving to know what I’m doing wrong.
    Thanks!

this use to happen to me too! the key is, like the other beauties have said, to shake the bottle well and then do really thin coats!

Do thin coats of nail polish and give it a bit of time in between coats so the nail polish dries.

Hear i was think my polish must be too old as i was always having bubbles .Thanks so much .!!!

oh that can also cause it, if its gone very thick.

I have this problem too! Right now at the moment, actually 🙁
But yeah, I agree that I think the problem is applying too many coats, and having the polish too thick. Will try not shaking the bottle as well now though
