How to repair broken nail.

Help I have cut my finger and it went straight through my nail as well, and it is way too far down to break off. How can I keep it together until it is long enough to break off? Home remedies please if anyone has any ideas cause I can’t get out and buy a special product for it at this stage!!

My thumb nail got caught and tore half way across below the nail bed. So sore and keeps catching so am going to try the tissue idea. I have clear nail polish I can use. With the lockdown cant easily get supplies and needing to wash hands so often makes a band aid not such a good alternative. Thanks everyone for the help

I was going to say BANDAID! but the tissue trick sounds really good. That`s clever.

yeah, i would keep a bandaid on it so it doesn`t get caught. but when it does grow long enough you should cut it as soon as you can

Yeah I hate it when it is beneath the top of the nail, anything down there is really painful, but it would be worse if it catches on something and rips off, ooooouuuuuucccccchhhhhh, lol, I have goose bumps thinking of it.
