Did anyone get their bonus 5 points when they completed their review and survey?

Thanks Margi, I’ll add this to the list of missing points when I email Jess.

Glad I asked, I’m not having much joy with bonus points of late.

Haha, definitely one size does not fit all Meedee. Maybe it has something to do with the hair thickness. Mine is thick and coarse and never knots, but did after using this. While yours is fine and tangles normally, but did not after using this. I wish now I had mentioned that my hair was thick and coarse in my review. Bummer.

Ah, yes, also making it much more affordable too. My just-below-shoulder length hair greedily sucked up a whole tube just for the ends and mid-lengths, and here I was thinking that was actually good coverage.

Just got the review done. Read the rest, wow, such a great rating! Even from those who said that was underwhelming gave 4 and 5 stars.
Anyways…I was first excited…then after using up all 3 tubes in 3 uses….my hair was worse than usual. So could not rate it so high. Not one star, as did not have allergy to the formula (one star is reserved for those), but could not give 3 for average product that is neutral. This one did change how my hair looks, but not on more desirable. Waah

Good to know Yoh as I was feeling like the only one who found it not to deliver as promised – thought it was due to my curly chemical processed hair but you have lovely very long straight hair. Not sure I want to use the last tube next wash! My 2 star rating (as I couldn’t give it a 3 star average/adequate rating) has my review pending – guess they’re awaiting a brand response.

Hey Kassalee I’m with you and Yohanna, although I did end up giving it 3 stars because it didn’t remove my colour. I honestly don’t think I’ll use the remainder either. It’s really just a conditioner, and not a great one at that.
I can’t believe testers who said it was underwhelming still gave it 4 or 5 stars, makes a mockery of the ‘at a glance’ star ratings. I assume 4 is good or very good, and 5 is outstanding.

Hi Lisa, I’m not sure you can change rating after submitting, but this is my general rule for stars:
1* unusable or damaging to use, or had to remove due to reaction
2* did not deliver on its promise, wouldn’t use again
3* average, nothing outstanding or unique but does the job, fair value for money, recommend
4* better than many other products in category, value for money, would definitely use again, definitely recommend
5* outstanding, better performance than current best in category or as good as category leaders and great value for money, highly recommend you try this instead of just buying your old trusty, it’s a game changer

MerryGoRound, thanks for sharing your description of how you choose your star ratings. I especially like your two star description of: “”did not deliver on its promise, wouldn’t use again””. If I chose my star ratings on that description, some of my three star reviews might end up getting two stars. For instance, I`ve used lots of mascaras that promise volume, but they don`t deliver on that promise. I`ve used a huge variety of so-called anti-ageing skin care products with massive claims that don`t seem to do anything for my older skin.

Submitted my review after 2nd shot used a week later. Result was worse.
Managed to find Pantene conditioner in the cupboard so used this (can’t believe there was no Pantene shampoo lying around!) along with a Shea moisture shampoo (for curly hair). Let it fully dry naturally and it went fluffy and frizzy! – ends were not dry as they been cut.
I used my smoothing product to tame it. Slept on it but still almost the same the next day.
Was going to give it 3 stars but after this dropped it to 2 stars – review not yet published!

Ok, so I used a shot last night after shampooing and conditioning. I use a lot of product in my long hair and there was plenty in the tube. I left it in for around 5 minutes before rinsing it out. Combing my hair wet was no easier, it’s usually a nightmare with my fine hair, it gets so knotty. Today my colour damaged, dry ends are much softer, as well as the strip of grey I have in my fringe, which normally feels a bit wiry compared to the rest of my hair. It’s also light and has more volume, but is still frizzy. I normally use oil in my hair, but haven’t applied any today. I don’t like my hair the day after washing it and today is no different, so I’ll see how I feel about it in a couple of days when it is normally less unruly.
Unfortunately I had to start a new conditioner, one that I haven’t tried before, so it’s hard to draw a conclusion on the shots just yet. I am going to use this product again on Saturday without shampoo/conditioner to see what it is like on its own, and to get at least one more use before writing a review.
Oh, and I love the scent, reminds me of slightly tangier juicy fruit chewing gum. Yummm!
***Being cheeky and editing to add my thoughts on the shots so I can be selfish and keep that 25000 post count for just a little bit longer. (thank you every one for congrats, I will reply to you all in the near future xx)
In short, I’ve got to admit that I am underwhelmed by this treatment. My hair was a little bit more manageable after using on Saturday without shampoo or conditioner and feels soft and less dry at the ends, but sadly there’s no difference to the look of my hair. I’ll be giving 3 stars because they’re not bad, I’m just not loving them.

I love it and have already purchased another packet (half price at Coles).
I think the results would vary depending on what you are using with it. I have been using it after using SHEAMOISTURE Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner with it and it works a treat. I can end up with a real fizz ball if I don’t using nourishing products and now I’ve got some extra moisture.
I did read that it should be used with Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner, which would make sense. Pantene is a fantastic quick fix and I am happy to use it when my hair needs some TLC but I wouldn’t use it long term.

I wonder if the results with the Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots Ampoules vary depending on how much build-up someone has in their hair before using the shots. If someone used the shots after a silicone-free shampoo and conditioner, I would expect a different result compared to someone that had been using a shampoo and conditioner with lots of silicones.

Petal, I`ve used stripped down basic silicone free duo beforehand. No oils, keratins, silicones, etc. Shots themselves have 2 active ing: one silicone and one silicone mimicking conditioning agent. In a water and preservative base that is perfumed a bit. Nothing miraculous.
Second shot used. This time after shampoo only. Same results. More frizz though. Easy to brush hair. Dry ends.
Very pricey stuff for what it contains and result it gives: 40 bucks for 200mL of standard sized hair mask, or 50 dollars for 250mL standard sized basic conditioner (as this is). Shocked a bit. Pantene went a bit too far with the pricing and packaging , putting in the tubes only basic 2 dollar conditioning formula in.

Huh, that’s what I’ve experienced too Yohanna … easy to brush, but frizzy wth dry ends. It actually also knots very easily, which for my hair is unheard of. I don’t EVER get knots. Seriously, I normally don’t even pack a hairbrush when I go away for a few days.

Interesting, yes my hair is definitely frizzy/fluffy after drying naturally (my normal process), will see how it behaves after sleeping on it.
