New hairdryer from DYSON

Just received an email about Dyson launching its supersonic hairdryer with some great features. Here is a link to an article about it:

More details from Dyson’s Australian website:

Likely to be VERY expensive though but it is rather intriguing.

I know its a bit expensive than your standard hair dryers but its totally worth it once you use it you will wonder how you survived with out it all these years.

My dad absolutely loves Dyson and when he saw this he started bugging me to get it haha. I have a feeling it’s going to be my Christmas present.

I had a big birthday a few weeks ago and I was given as a gift the new Dyson Hairdryer in Fuchsia. I would never of bought this for myself and to my family’s credit it was a total wonderful surprise. They have dropped in price by around $100 and there was a David Jones $50 gift card included as a bonus.
The look of the hairdryer is amazing and the nozzles are magnetic which is so easy to change/use. It is very light, quiet and dry’s amazingly fast. I did notice my hair looked super shiny and felt very silky after drying. I usually have issues with flyaway hair and frizz and that was also lessened. I have fallen instantly in love with this dryer but would never of bought one for myself I just could not afford it. Best present ever 🙂

It was on A Current Affair last week – and can’t say it rated well with the two testers.

I have a Dyson vac and even tho I don’t use it as often as my hairdryer (!) I would never consider spending $699 on a hairdryer – but others would and will.

Guess it comes down to priorities and money – gosh, I could go on a holiday or buy a new hairdryer!

I just saw this on David Jones website at $699 and I was amazed at the price, it is the same price as some of their vacuums.

Here’s a video review of the dyson hairdryer:

It performs alright, but I still dont think that justifies the $$$ the cost (I would have to take a second mortgage to get the hair dryer LOL!)

I just seen it on tv also and I dont think it is any quiter than a normal one. I definetely cant justify spending that much on a hairdryer whether it is quiter or not

For the price they are asking I think I will keep the noise from my current dryer both do the same job

It was announced in Asia as well and it would be over AUD$400 when converted the currency. When it was in the news, I was thinking that’s awesome, but when I found out about the price, I was thinking nah… I can so leave without it. $400 buys me better shampoo/conditioners. hahaha
