Just reading the comments and oh my, what an experience melanie-suzette had, both with her hair and her wallet! Many years ago I went to a salon to have my lovely light blonde hair coloured – yes to blonde! Why? just because everyone else was getting their hair coloured. Now in hindsight the ‘hairdresser’ should not have done anything as my hair was perfect then, maybe getting a bit darker underneath, nothing that summer sun could not have fixed. I too ended up with green and gutter grey hair, had to go to another hairdresser and fork out more $$$ to get it fixed, total costing around $300. I also had the same issue going to TAFE where the ‘teacher’ selected the colour combination, again a disaster and this time I had the colour stripped out. Finally I found a good hairdresser and was given the best colour matching my natural colour which was 913. Since then I have been using that in L’Oreal products, mainly to cover grey either the casting or excellence. I haven’t had my hair coloured at a salon for about 20 years now though only really started to cover the grey about 15 years ago.
