I actually just coloured my hair yesterday at Natalie Anne in Sydney! I was given a complimentary product from the salon – Schwarzkopf BC Bonacure Cell Perfector Repair Rescue.

The product is meant to help with split ends and can be used every time you wash your hair. I’ve seen great reviews about it and plus it smells nice!

Aveda have a product called Damage Remedy Split End Repair, which I’ve gotten samples of with other purchases, and I think its good.
I also love Kerastase, and while expensive, am sure a targeted treatment they have could help you out.
Definitely make sure you get your hair cut regularly though, no product has ever worked as well for me as starting to be religious about scheduling salon dates.

Me, I started to use products of brand “Greymy”. They have different lines like volume, zoom color, probably sth else I don’t remember. They have veery soft shampoo and conditioner that also help in fighting with split ends! For me it one of the main problems ahah)) but now finally feel myself like a human))

Silk pillowcases can help reduce breakage and split ends. Pre shampoo hair oil treatment, double shampoo and condition next day, add argan oil to a hair treatment like redken all soft as a booster, once rinsed out towel dry to remove excess moisture use argan oil from midlengths focusing on ends and place a leave in hair treatment. Do this weekky, with a regular cut will help reduce breakage and split ends over time.

    Hi Christina,
Have a regular trim to get rid of split ends, use oil hair masque (coconut and olive oil are good ) to strengthen your hair.
Up your protein intake and increase amount of green leafy vegetables in your diet. Stay away from stress and have good sleep.. Most of these factors are lifestyle but will add into your hair health in a long term.

I’ve been colouring my hair blonde for the last couple of years and my hair gets really dry and split. I use Make hair treatment, which I get from hair house warehouse. I find it really helps to nourish my hair. I would recommend trying this product.

Really helpful answers above. Basically lots & lots of hair masks, try eliminating heat tools/colouring (or use more natural dyes) and maybe the tiniest trim here and there? It’ll feel so much thicker, healthier and lighter.

The hair mask I like is Hair Recipe’s Honey & Apricot Moisture Mask.

    Hi Christina,

Firstly you have to find out what’s causing your split ends? What shampoo & conditioner are you using at the moment to help in the process with this? Do you have a leave- conditioner that you use fortnightly or monthly to help with your hair? How many times do you wash your hair? These are all normal questions to ask there can be an underlining problem here that is causing this.

My shampoo & conditioner that I use is Schwarzkopf Extra Care Hair Repair with liquid keratin- Coconut & Argan Oil from Morocco (Normal to stressed hair) I also use Schwarzkopf Extra Care Hair Repair Leave In Daily Oil Elixir (All Hair Type’s-Suppleness & Shine) –

I use this product mainly if I’m going out just squeeze 2 drop’s on my left side & 2 on my right side & give a bit of a twirl between the hair, You can use it wet or dry on your split ends. I’ve found these product’s work best for me as I’ve been using them for a long time & noticed the improvement on my hair from it.

I also do a leave in conditioner on my hair once a fortnight any type will do but pick what suit’s you most people leave in for 30 mins then wash out but I leave it in over night then wash out next morning & my hair is always soft afterwards.

I’ve also found if you don’t wash your hair all the time this help’s as that would be drying your hair out even more- Pick what suit’s you.

I hope you find this useful & goodluck with it all.

I wash my hair every 2 days and have only just stared a week ago using a hair mask. I`m using John Frieda colored hair shampoo and conditioner. Thanks for your tips. I will try leaving the conditioner in over night.

My reply may be quite biased here. I am a strong fan of Kerastase products and have used them with noticable improvement in my hair condition.

I do have BAD hair condition. Regular hair colour, daily wash, long and fine hair.

Firstly, i use a hair mask regularly instead of hair conditioner. With extremely damaged hair, i use the Resistance range – Masque Force Architecte.

For leave in conditioning, Resistance – Ciment Anti-sure.

Then for final split end repair – Fibre Architecte for the hair ends.
