I want to buy some nice hair ties, ribbons and accessories for my hair that are not lady Jayne. Can anyone recommend shops or online places please
misfortune - you should be on that Better Homes & Gardens show where you show your clever ideas.
I've been meaning to upload some pics of some ways I wear plain headbands for ages, so finally I'm getting around to posting them.
These are Scünci 5pk Printed Headwraps. https://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/hair-accessories/49699-scunci-basic-animal-printed-assorted-headwrap#1639466
I often wear brooches on headbands (or berets). Some brooches were my late Nan's, some I bought myself. No prizes for guessing which ones I bought. The centre-left pic shows the black headband worn around my neck with a brooch. The bottom-left pic shows the grey headband worn under a metal headband which otherwise pulls my hair if I wear it by itself.
I'm also about to upload my review of Scünci Active Headwrap with Sewn Keeper: https://www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/hair-accessories/49676-scunci-active-space-dye-wide-with-sewn-keeper-headwrap#1639556
It's got a secret pocket! IT'S GOT A SECRET POCKET!
I see your review misfortune!! I see ... knew it was yours. You are my hair accessory guru for life. Thanks for always keeping me up to date !!
Ha ha, thanks ray_jay!
I got Toni & Guy Triangle Barrettes in the Rewards Room.
Top Right: adorning a plait. The barrettes stay in place because the plait is firm.
Bottom Left: adorning a french roll. There is a black stick holding the roll in place. This stops the barrettes from sliding out.
Bottom Right: worn above a topsy-tail ponytail. The ponytail prevents the barrettes from slipping out.
Top Right: I most often wear these clips as I would wear a snap clip.
Bottom Left: this is the only pic showing the barrettes as the only thing in my hair. They barely stayed in long enough to take the picture.
Bottom Right worn over a hair elastic, they stayed in place all day.
My local Woolworths actually had those Toni and Guy clips on the clearance rack for about $2 as a side note.
Ooh! Thanks for the heads up, PrettyPrincess! I want to get a rose gold set!
I've just reviewed my TONI&GUY Bow Barrette: www.beautyheaven.com.au/hair/hair-accessories/product/bow-barrette#1773887
That looks beautiful.
This barrette is so cute, Mis8. I have never thought to wear one underneath a bun like that, what a great idea!
Thanks, Indie! It's actually holding the bun up! The bun & half-ponytail were done just using the bow barrette - no hair elastics or bobby pins!
Sometimes i shop on eBay. The prices are good and lots of beautiful hair accessories you can't find it stores. Best of all most of them offer free shipping. I recently purchased a banana clip.
I bought this hair clip at the Sydney Easter Show. Despite my avatar, I'm not Indian, haha! I'm a Celt & I love anything Celtic, especially jewellery. Lower pic shows that it won't hold a lot of hair, so it's more decorative than functional. Still, I love it!
thanks for keeping my thread alive misfortune :-)
I decided to purchase this liquid lipstick in the shade Wisteria; which is a beautiful deeper pink, earthy tone on me.
The Japanese Camellia Cream is a rich and hydrating cream that smells glorious. It comes in a generously sized tub.
This is a really gentle antiperspirant/deodorant that is very effective and lightly fragranced. The scent makes it a nice unisex option as it smells neither masculine nor feminine.
