Face shape for hair inspiration

Hi beauties,
so it finally clicked today, I found my celebrity face shape match! It sounds silly, but I’m finding it’s really helpful to determine what kind of hair cut might look good.
I get frustrated with having the same hair cut all the time, or making a poor choice when I eventually do go for something a little different.
I’ve found that Scarlett Johansson seems to be the closest face shape match for me (ugh, she’s so pretty!). Now I can go through lots of photos and determine what I like from so many years of red carpets. It’s so interesting to see how varied all the make up looks have been over the years too!
Anyway, I thought that was something fun and Pinterest is a great space to explore hair and beauty looks as well, I love that website.
So I’m interested, how do you go about determining what hair cuts (and beauty looks too!) might look good on you before actually doing the chop?

I’ve had long hair for most of my life. I’ve had it cut just above shoulder length twice, once in childhood, once in adulthood. It looked so bad both times, that I’ve resolved to have long hair even when I’m elderly. I’ve had the same basic cut for years, but I’m constantly trying new styling methods & updos. Everything from people on the street, YouTube to Game of Thrones is an inspiration for long hair styles, both simple & formal.

Makeup is trial & error. I rarely try a new makeup look when I’m on my way out. When I come home, before I cleanse my makeup off at night, I might try things with eyeliner or shadow. It’s easier when you’re already wearing your “basic” face. You can see how a small change affects your whole face. If it’s not for you, you don’t have to start from scratch.

Celebrity face shape match: hmm. That’s a great idea. I’m wondering who though. Food for thought.
