DIY Haircuts!

Who else here cuts their own hair at home?
I haven’t had a professional haircut in years. I have trimmed my hair a couple of times and even let my hubby have a go (which was a massive gamble!). I plan on getting it professionally trimmed soon to straighten it off again so i have an even starting point. If you’ve considered a diy chop, i found youtube very helpful. You’ll find plenty of useful video’s of do’s & don’ts.

I was talking to another mum at school pick up the other day and she had cut her own hair. It looked really nice. You simply couldn’t tell. I recently had a cut but this time i went to the professionals to make it all even again.

I saw a few you tube tutorials on cutting hair especially fringes coz they grow fast and not worth paying i liked the twist a section and trim to make it appear less freshly chopped especially if you have a shaky hand haha i trimmed my daughters hair and she is 3 so she wriggled heaps and i found this technique worked well

Yup thats me! My fringe grows so quick that I resort to youtubing how to cut it using the twist and cut the opposite end up.

It can be a good way to save money or it could cost you more if you have to get it fixed. It don’t mind if my clients cut their own fringe as long as it isn’t half way up the forehead!

To those of you who cut your own hair, I admire your bravery, not to mention your skill. I would never cut my own hair. Don’t trust myself. Haha! But I have a very good friend who has short straight hair who always cuts her own hair and you couldn’t tell she hasn’t been to a salon as she does such a good job.

I often cut my fringe in between hairdressing appointments but other than that I let my hairdresser take control.

I love it when dad`s do their daughters hair <3 Just recently saw a dad braiding his daughters hair before church and also a dad at school was chatting about how his daughter requested that he style it a certain way, so he did just that. They both did a wonderful job!

When I had a full fringe my mum used to cut it for me, she always did a great job of it, simply because I couldn’t be bothered going to the hairdresser every 4 weeks or so.
