Curling Iron Barrel Size

Hey girls,

I ‘m thinking about purchasing a new curling iron, mainly to create the loose waves/curls like Serena and Blair from Gossip Girl.

At the moment, my hair is not as long as I wanted to be, so I hope to get long hair like Blake Lively. Anyway, my question to you is:
Which Curling Iron Barrel Size should I purchase? 1 Inch (25 mm) or 1 1/4 Inch (32 mm)? They don’t seem like much, will it matter? It’s difficult to see the difference in results. Which would be more versatile and more value for money? As I am on a student budget, I can’t afford to spend too much.

Also, what’s better: BabyblissPro or ConAirPro?

Thanks girls!

well you can always get a bigger barrel size later when your hair gets longer. well with one inch you can do smaller ringlets and tighter curls, but 1/4 or an inch wont make much of a difference. if youre really unsure you can go to a shop such as hairhouse warehouse, they have babybliss curlers and ask their reccomendation. they also curl your hair in free demos.

Why do you say 1 inch is better? I think it is perfect for my length now but will it still look good for long, long hair?

oh wait i didnt see your last line. lol
conair one is cheaper i think and babybliss is around $100
my friends get nice results from remington too.
i was thinking of getting the infiniti or satin finish 1 inch by conair a couple of weeks ago. but i didnt get around to it lol.
read some reviews for babybliss, but i think conair should be just as good.

i think you should get the one inch barrel size. depends how long your hair is tho. if you want it loosely curled it probably wont make much or a difference because you can just use more or less hair whilest curling it.
i really wanted a new curler too. theres soo many brands of straighteners, shame theres not as much for straighteners. haha
what brand/ curler were you thinking of getting?
