Can anyone recommend a sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner for colour treated hair

I’ve been Delorenzo products- shampoo, conditioner, treatment and leave in products for colour treated hair for ages and while I’m not unhappy with them would like to try something different for a change. Can anyone recommend chemical free shampoos and conditioners for colour treated hair?

The previous random comment by Shyamacosmetics looks like spam for Shyama Cosmetics. I did a Google search and the company seems to be based in India.

Natural Henna is an excellent conditioner. Application of Henna invariably gives a reddish tinge to the hair color. To avoid this, a special form of natural henna powder is formulated which conditions the hair and makes it soft, shiny and also adds volume.

Id suggest OGX Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy shampoo & conditioner. You can easily get it from woolworths and it is brilliant for frizz as well as sulfate free. Its pretty expensive but it is just as good as DeLorenzo.

I have been using a shampoo/conditioner product from whitesandsaustralia.com.au and it is sulphate free. It was called Orchid Bliss. It is great for coloured treated hair and stops hair frizzing. I don’t have coloured treated hair but it was fantastic to keep the frizz away.

If you go to their site they give Salons at where you can buy it from. I am really liking the product and the results.

It all depends on your price bracket.

As ThisIsMe mentioned, Keune’s Tinta Color (within their Care range) is sulphate and paraben free & is the only shampoo & conditioner from the Care range to contain no such things (all the others do sadly, including the Color Brillianz). They also have a So Pure range that is completely sulphate & paraben free, although I haven’t tried the colour shampoo & conditioner from that range yet.

I also recommend bhave if your hair is particularly damaged – the Rescue shampoo & conditioner are great for that kind of thing, although it is heavily keratin based (my hair couldn’t stomach it all after a while & kept breaking into tiny pieces).

Iles Formula is really good. I picked up a trial kit off Adore Beauty that has four sachet sets of shampoo, conditioner, finishing serum as well as a wide tooth comb. It’s a bit pricey but each sachet of products has ample quantity for two uses, so you can get about 8 uses of it, which was enough to convince me I needed to buy the full size shampoo and conditioner.

Keune Tinta Color Care range I believe is both of those. But does depend on what price bracket you’re after.

There’s quite a few good sulphate & silicone free brands out there.
Bhave, Moroccanoil, Original Mineral, Aveda are fantastic. Glow Lab actually have decent haircare products as well, they are sold in Woolies and are very affordable.

Another brand that springs to my mind for colour-treated hair is Pureology. I haven’t used their products, but they are sulphate-free and formulated for colour-treated hair:

If you contact Adore Beauty, they might be able to recommend some products for you from Pureology or another brand.
