SEARCHING FOR A PARTICULAR SCENT??

Hi All,
I am trying to find a particular scent and I don’t know what it is called or where to get it!
You know that scent that only a small % of people wear that is a bit hippyish? It is kind of spicy and I suspect is a type of oil like you can get at markets etc. I have been searching high and low for it and the other day bought some patchoulie oil because the lady said that was what I was after….WRONG!!
Can anyone help me with this search?

    Maybe try sniffing some of the perfume oils at the body shop – they have testers at stores so you can try them on ur skin too, good luck!!!

    Go to any “hippy shop” ( you know the ones I mean – they sell crystals and herbal medicines and long flowing dresses and candles and handmade jewellery). Most of them have a selection of perfume oils, including the earthier ones I think you’re looking for. I was thinking either patchouli or sandalwood, but there are so many variations on those basic scents that it’s impossible to guess without smelling it.
