I’ve been trying perfumes with less synthetic ingredients in recent years. You can sometimes buy sample size “natural” perfumes from online eco-friendly stores. The store that usually has a decent range is Nourished Life, but you can buy them elsewhere. The downside of many “natural” perfumes is that they often do not last long on the skin, so you may need to reapply them throughout the day.
One option is to buy an essential oil blended with a carrier oil such as jojoba. I’ve tried the In Essence jasmine, rose and neroli blended with jojoba oil and they’ve been lovely, but a bit too subtle for my taste. You can also buy “natural” perfumes in a cream base that include ingredients such as shea butter.

Sometimes you can find a brand called LAVANILLA online. They have a roller ball set of sample perfumes:

It is possible that your skin is sensitive to essential oils. If that’s the case, then my suggestions won’t be helpful!
