This sounds a little strange, but I use Tumeric, yep the highly staining yellow powder, lol. I begin by holding 1/2 a shot glass of wheatgrass (I use the powder with water) in my mouth for a few minutes. It tastes delicious, not really, lol. I spit it out, then I put some coconut oil on a toothbrush (not my regular one, because it will stain!) and dip in tumeric powder. I brush my teeth as I normally would, but without spitting. I then leave in my mouth for 5 minutes. My teeth at this point look beautiful!! Lol. I rinse with the remaining wheatgrass, then water.

    It works! Seriously!

Not only does it whiten teeth, but is good for the gums also, and it’s antibacterial. The wheatgrass is not necessary, but I am using it because I have gingivitis. There’s also claims that wheatgrass helps with toothache, plaque and even remineralise teeth over time.

I’ve only been doing this for a week, so will update if I notice any benefits, well apart from the tumeric whitening teeth.

Don’t use tumeric everyday, 3 days a week is all that is needed 🙂

I use a small amount of coconut oil on my toothbrush and brush daily before brushing with toothpaste. I think it’s made a difference. I can’t spend 20 minutes a day oil pulling so I thought I’d try this instead.

  • There is also a charcoal coconut formula called “Warpaint” that is really popular lately the results are suppose to be pretty fast and i’ve seen lots of good reviews. I’m going to try it sooner or later it is a little pricey though i think $45-50 from Showpo or from the Warpaint website. The tub is quite large though it would last ages, also contains no harsh chemicals etc and you just use it with a toothbrush.

I have heard a lot about ‘coconut oil pulling’ lately as well, you may want to research it online as i don’t know too much about it but want to try it as well. Basically you ‘swish’ the coconut oil around in your mouth for about 20 minutes and it’s suppose to whiten teeth and have heaps of other health benefits.

Try baking soda and toothpaste twice a day for 3 days and then once a day to mantain the whiteness. Don’t forget to floss as well. Just take a pea size toothpaste and mix a pinch of basking soda and brush . you will start to see results just after first use. Good luck. Hope this helps.
