Activated charcoal for teeth whitening
Hello lovelies,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with using activated charcoal for teeth whitening? I am seeing different brands popping up everywhere at the moment on social media but it is so hard to distinguish between a legit review and a paid post!
Would love to hear from anyone who has given it a go 🙂
Thanks

I have two different brands of charcoal teeth whitening powder that I got of Wish. I use them usually every couple of weeks as I don’t have much time, but I don’t see much results. They do seem to make a small difference, but I would not recommend if you’re looking for more of an intense fix!

White Glo is no longer bh listed, so here is my old review for their charcoal toothpaste.
White Glo Deep Stain Remover Activated Charcoal Whitening Toothpaste

This Toothpaste is Almost Black!
I generally prefer Oral-B toothpaste, but I try new ones occasionally. I think this charcoal toothpaste is great as a novelty, but my fairly white teeth are starting to look a little yellowish after using this regularly for three weeks. That usually only happens when I use a generic toothpaste.
This toothpaste comes out of the tube in a dark, charcoal colour! It foams up grey, gradually turning white. I love charcoal in my skincare, but it’s not working for my teeth. The flavour is very mild but fresh.
Every White Glo tube of toothpaste comes with a White Glo toothbrush. They look so “space-age” in design, but I find it difficult to manoeuvre when it gets wet & frothy. The little suction cup at the base doesn’t work either. I change my toothbrush on the first of every month. I’m counting down this last week, anxious to throw it out.
Each White Glo toothpaste also contains a set of dental picks. I’m getting quite a collection of these, I don’t use them.
Both brush & toothpaste are made in China. PAO 12M (Open jar symbol shows PAO: Period After Opening that product should last, shown in months, M). I will not be repurchasing this toothpaste.
INGREDIENTS: Calcium Carbonate, Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Sorbitol, Silica, Aroma (Flavour), Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS), Carboxymethyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Charcoal Powder, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), Sodium Saccharin, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Sodium Monofluorophosphate*.
*ACTIVE INGREDIENT: Sodium Monofluorophosphate 0.76 W/W.
My old pic from page 1 of this thread.

I’ve tried the charcoal it did help a little bit but personally I’ve had better experience with using a baking soda mouth wash twice a day and then a normal toothpaste morning and night. Also I cut out coffee and tea to avoid staining 🙂

My daughter been using Carbon Coco activated charcoal tooth polish for a few weeks and swears it works.
It’s expensive at $49.95!
But I like all the natural ingredients and after signing up with my email I’ve already been sent a 25% off code and with free shipping it brings it down to $37.47

I’ve been wanting to try a charcoal toothpaste. I went to a health food store over the weekend and they were charging around $24 a tube!?! A bit extreme. How much did you spend on the charcoal toothpaste? and where did you buy it from? I wonder if it would be cheaper to buy charcoal capsules and just snap it open and use that?
