PETA

What are peoples opinions on the whole PETA vs
Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen scandal? I’ve got nothing against PETA, I don’t much care for real animal furs and there is nothing wrong with supporting your cause. Yet I think it was wrong for PETA to attack their personal problems such as their struggles with weight. I believe the slogan was “They need meat on their skin, not fur on their backs”

Its good that someone is sticking up for the animals because they don`t have a voice, it is also necessary & cruel to use animal testing in the cosmetic industry.

I think a lot of the celebrities acssociated with PETA are simply `jumping on the bandwagon` as such. Think about pamela Anderson and her ugg boot saga – took her 10 years to work out how they were made!!!

Animal rights organisation pick on celebs BECAUSE of the publicity they get for it! if the olsen twins stopped wearing fur then people might stop and think, but if a random in the street stopped, noone would care! i think that PETA should do whatever it can to get it`s message across. i have nothing against eating animals (coz it`s a natural, human thing to do) but why, why, WHY would anyone still want to wear fur when there are sooooo many cheaper, better looking alternatives out there? why kill animals when you could make just as yummy fabric out of chemicals? or wear faux fur (it`s really nice, i got a big jacket from a market). if making up mean slogans about people`s weight will stop them wearing dead animals then so be it. if celebs set an example saying `killing animals for fashion is not cool`, designers will follow (why make clothes if noone will wear them) and animals will no longer be killed for their skins, and the world will be a slightly better place.

How old are they, and where did they form? I know nothing about them except their aim to protect animals.
