I enjoy going for long hikes. Try bushwalking for something different. I only go in winter, too hot in summer and too many snakes around.

I try to exercise early in the morning as I’m more motivated then. If I don’t exercise first thing in the morning I tend not go do it.

It of course depends on your personal preferences, fitness levels and equipment available but here are some workouts I find both enjoyable and effective:
    – ergos (rowing machine)
Try to keep the s/m (strokes per minute) at 20 for 15 minutes pushing as hard as you can with your legs
    – 30 day fitness challenges
30dayfitnesschallenges.com has a range of challenges to complete – most of which requiring no equipment at all!
    – weights program
I know a lot of women shy away from this with a fear of too much muscle but it tones you up beautifully and is quite fun
    – Pilates
This is an all time favourite of mine! There are plenty of DVDs out there you can select from

An extra little tip is to workout in the mornings, it brightens my day so much when I get home around 9 or earlier and have already done my exercise for the day!

Good luck and I hope I’ve helped you a little! 🙂

OH I almost forgot, Zumba is really great also, I’m not a fan of the classes but I’ve got this on the wii so I can do it at home by myself!

Videos on YouTube I find really helpful. I am subscribed to fitness blender and they have easy to do workout routines for beginners.

Women’s Health magazine have great articles on different exercises and workouts. My gym (Jetts Fitness) have quarterly magazines available to members for free, they’re kind of like the Women’s Health. You could also check out books by fitness experts like Michelle Bridges or Lesley Maxwell (I’ve read their books and both have examples of good home and gym workouts).
