What is the difference between Hand Cream & Body Cream

I got a few hand cream in my DJ sampler bag. And a couple here and there. Just wondering if it is possible to use the hand cream on the body.

What is the difference? In theory i can use the hand cream for the body right?

Much appreciated if anyone can assist.
Thank you in advance. 😀

i have been using intensive hand creams on the neck… as my neck tend to be so dry during winter. they work so well… love it when they include butters like shea butter in the ingredients.

Just tried the Australian Bush Flower Essence ABFE intensive hand cream… omg.. i am definitely going to repurchase this! love all the sample that came.

their products smell so good… & it’s au naturel. not artificial. 😀

Yes it is the SPF because she didn’t have spf with her that day.

handcreams can also range so much in prices.. from so cheap to so ex,
I did read that body creams are good for face too… like the classic blue nivea.

it all depends on the skin time and how sensitive, comedogenic etc

i tried kiwi company The Aromatherapy Naturals Lavender Neroli hand and nail cream… it’s nice and rich… not too strong in fragrance. The ingredients are so printed so small, it’s a good list. It is suitable for body too… i will use it for elbows and knees because of the texture.

Shea Butter is the main moisturising ingredient.

like what Petal says… shea butter may not be suitable for the face because it may be too heavy.

    Based on the website
    https://www.beneficialbotanicals.com/facts-figures/comedogenic-rating.html
Shea butter is rated 0 – Will Not Clog Pores.

UPDATE: I have been using this hand and nail cream on my neck which is dry. It is very good! 🙂

Thank you Petal & Harmony Queen

i got more handcreams than hands now. lol And no habit to use the handcreams so they get used up so slow!

I would love to get MORE Hand creams from Jurlique and Perfect Potion. Was trying them on yesterday and both of them have beautiful Calendula concoctions! sigh… i’ll get them when i finish using what i have.

Sometimes i think there is a good reason why they print BODY, HAND, FACE, etc on the product. Sometimes it is a suggestion. The best way to see the suitability is the check the ingredients. Gosh.. that’s hard work. what ingredients should i watch out for again?

Special shout out to the Human + Kind Elbow and knees lightening cream i am using now i got from David Jones. It’s an Irish company… natural ingredients etc. LOVE IT
body lightening? errrmmm too early to tell.

i use this beauty on my hands and upper arms before i sleep. 😀

UPDATE: I have been using the Human + Kind Elbow and knees lightening cream for about 3 times a week on my hands and arms. Have noticed the skin more translucent so the “lightening” does work. I have one tiny pigmentation watch on the left hand, close to where i wear my watch… That has lightened by a smidgen too. So happy i got 3 of this on sale. The only issue is where to buy it next? Will have to try David Jones.

I bought The kiwi company Aromatherapy for men face lotion with doc for the day & my hubby loves it… The fragrance is good! It is not too manly & I wouldn’t mind sharing it with him if we were to travel. I try to include 1 product for him in each of my hauls. He is a sucker for packaging & fragrance. The Aromatherapy company’s packaging is nice & manly… Just the way he likes it.

Really loving the kiwis natural skincare brands so far.

Paula Begoun probably used the handcreams on her face due to the spf reason , but I’ve never attempted to use handcreams on my face but rather body creams on my face . This is because I find handcreams in general have too much fragrance or is too heavy . If I have a gentle body lotion , then I will use it on my face , esp if I didn’t have any at the time . I know women who do that all the time to save money , providing it is suitable for your skin , otherwise you might break out or allergies etc…

Question: Can you use the hand cream on your face?

Paula Begoun said once she was out and she had no sunscreen, so she used her hand cream which has spf and it was very good. something like that anyways…

    What differentiates hand/body/face cream?

    Now thats cheap !!

Wow , why would you want your knees and elbows to lighten .?. lol

I was thinking that the other day Preciousia. In fact now I use my handcreams more when I go out to carry in the handbag. When you use body lotion you will automatically get it on your hands so why bother use it again on your hands . It doesn’t make sense and see not much of a difference in general.
