Stomach bloating!

My belly bloats quite a bit as soon as I eat, and I feel so heavy at the end of the day. My empty or morning stomach is quite flat… I don’t know what’s causing it.
I’m not gluten intolerant.
Apart from the problem needing to be addressed, what does everybody else do to avoid lots of bloating, or quickly minimise already existing bloating?
Thank you

Hi! There’s a few tips that I have to reduce bloating…

    1. Drink green tea! It’s so great and you can even have it with ice for the summer.
    2. EAT SLOWLY. I cannot stress this enough. If you eat really quickly, you are swallowing more air which will cause bloating. Make sure to swallow every mouthful before starting the next.

There’s a few but if you need any more, I have a whole bunch and I’ll let you know 🙂

i suffer from a pretty distended tummy…it went down a bit though, after my doc told me i had IBS along with my mild lactose intolerance.

taking iberogast has made a huge difference and makes me feel healthier!

planning on trying her suggestion of mintec soon, too!

I’ve recently starting taking probiotics as I have Inflammatory Bowel Disease, since I’ve been taking them I’ve found my stomach seems to be flatter.

I drink a glass of water every morning with some lemon squeezed into it and a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (must contain the ‘mother’ to be effective). It’s great for bloating. Also has a whole heap of other benefits however not the best taste but you get used to it pretty quick.

Try peppermint tea as others have suggested. It could be IBS. I’ve got it and its surprising what foods set me off. An idea would be to try the elimination ‘diet’. Pretty much don’t eat something for a week and then eat it again to see what the body does. I find that grease/oily foods sets me more than anything.

But as a misfortune said, maybe a trip to the chemist or even the docs wouldn’t hurt.

    I’ll try probiotics too. Thanks!
Oh I have tried de-gas tablets a few times, thinking that might help. But I don’t actually have a gas problem so it wasn’t helpful at all. At least that’s one potential cause eliminated!!

I had the worst experience with Degas tablets….. Let’s just say the charcoal component of the tablet made my gas smell out of this world.

You can buy charcoal tablets or Degas that will help reduce the bloat a little bit as I suffer from this a fair bit..but i have food intolerance’s so I know what’s causing mine

You may have some sort of food intolerance, might be worth seeing a GP or nutritionist/ dietician.
