The smell would be amazing, coconut is bliss. Sorry to hear that there have been issues with the pump though. Congrats to all the trialers

i dont like I’m finding that the Coconut Body Oil is not as moisturising for my cuticles.

    The pump is a disaster!!!

Arty girl I am the exact oppisite. The first few days switching over from my pure almond oil to this coconut oil blend my skin was so dry that I woke up in the middle of the night to scratch!!!

The weather is getting warmer now so it seems that I may be able to get away with it from now on.

I am also not a huge fan of the artificial coconut smell. But this is just a personal preference. My hubby seems to like it. So I use it just at night now. During the day I can’t really stand going out smelling like I have just spilt a can of coconut milk on myself.

I do agree that the Coconut Body Oil feels rather “”light”” on the skin. I expect that the pure almond oil that you were using before is a heavier one skincarejunkie and so more moisturising to your feet. Whereas I`m going from using body lotions (which don`t have much oil content) to a pure oil for the first time. The lotions would be absorbed in no time and a few hours later my feet would feel dry.

For me, the Redwin Coconut Body Oil works better at keeping my feet moisturised than Scholl Velvet Smooth Essential Moisture Cream.

How our skin reacts to the product depends on what we were using before and our skin type. Each of us will react differently to the Coconut Body Oil.

Because I`ve been using Manicare Cuticle Oil, I`m finding that the Coconut Body Oil is not as moisturising for my cuticles. It`s taking a long time for my cuticles to get back to good condition using just the coconut oil which is why I`ve reverted to using the Manicare Cuticle Oil on them again.

As for the fragrance, I`m not a huge fan of coconut fragranced body products as well but I was still keen on trying this Body Oil out. My husband does not mind the smell but I`m glad that I`m only using this on my feet and at night as well since that is when I have my shower. LOL !!!

Even though I give the bottle a good shake as recommended to mix the product well, I agree with the other Trial Members that the pump is “spluttery”. It means that not much product comes out as well. I need to press the pump at least twice to get enough oil out to do my hands.
I like how the oil leaves the skin feeling silky.
I’ve decided to concentrate on using this product on my feet, after my shower and before I go to bed, as that is the part that gets extremely dry at night. So far so good as it appears to keep away the dryness :).
I’m also using the product on my cuticles as I neglected them while I was on holiday. They are ragged and dry. So I’m waiting to see how long this oil takes to get my cuticles back in good condition :).

That`s a really good idea about using it on your feet before bed! I always have really dry feet and get very lazy using creams etc but I might try the oil instead since it`s so light so I don`t have to wait long for it to absorb.

I`m going to have a look and see if i have a empty bottle or something I can put this oil in so that I don`t have to use the pump it comes it

Last night, before jumping into bed, I decided to give my feet a light spray with water before applying the oil to them. I feel it helps to distribute the oil as well as lock in the moisture. Since using the Redwin Coconut Body Oil on my feet, I have not been waking up at night due to my feet`s dryness. When I used a foot lotion, sometimes I would because the foot lotion would only moisturise my feet for a short while. Its hydrating properties aren`t as long lasting as this body oil.

The pump is a disaster (I am in Sydney so it’s not like we have freezing weather at the moment) but the oil is light weight so it is hard to give it 4/5 stars.

    • 7 yrs, 6 mths ago

I`m in Sydney too and the oil itself in the packaging is fine, just creates a major mess with the pump but apart from that I`m enjoying trialing it.

  • 7 yrs, 6 mths ago

I’m on this trial too :). I’ve used the oil a few times and so far love how lightweight it is and moisturising.
The pump is a bit messy though, it seems to make a mess of of the oil when trying to use it and pumps out too much.

I love that you can try to use this on frizzy hair, although I haven’t tried it for that yet.

oooh lucky ladies, what a great trial. Very much looking forward to your reviews.

Received mine yesterday! So far digging the smell! Not loving the pump nozzle! It’s spluttering all over the place! Maybe cause the weather is cooler here in SA today!

  • 7 yrs, 6 mths ago

I received mine yesterday and I opened it up for a sniff, but it was solid at room temperature here in Tassie. Damn you Tassie spring weather! I’m hoping I can get some product out after my shower, lol.

    • 7 yrs, 6 mths ago

It is still cold here in Perth *CurlFriday”” and we are nearly in the middle of Spring !!! LOL !!! The Winter has been a long one this year. Mind you, I don`t mind as I prefer being cold to being hot. I`ve gone out to the City in 42C heat and it was absolutely dreadful !!!

My Hubby is longing to visit Tassie; more so than New Zealand. We might very well do, next year :).

Hope you were able to get some of your trial product out. Did you warm the bottle in some hot water before giving it a good shake ?

I received my trial product yesterday too and used it after my shower. There is the coconut scent to it and I`m glad it is not too overpowering. If it was, it would remind me of being back in School again and the smell of some of Indian girls` hair. They used coconut and you could smell it a mile away. LOL !!! Admittedly, their hair was also healthy looking, shiny, thick and gorgeous !!!

I did sit the bottle in hot water, and melted it enough to get the pump working. I agree with others about the pump, very sputtery. The product is nice though, the scent is light and the oil spreads well. My hair and skin are enjoying it so far. I just wish I didn`t need the extra step of melting it before I can use it. Such a faff.
