Problems with skin after botox injections

I’m searching for an advice. After botox injections I’m heaving a headache at least once in 2 days. There were no problems before the procedure.
Both clinic and advisor are ignoring me, giving no advices.
Is it normal, did somebody have such problems after botox. Feeling really bad after this kind of situtation…

Hope you’re feeling better, if you do decide to have it done again maybe you should go elsewhere since you’re not getting any assistance or advice after the procedure.

My Mum has botox for medical reasons in her neck, I don’t recall her having any issues, she says jokingly she needs it in her face as well for her wrinkles but she never would. It does help with the issues she has with her neck though. I know someone else who has used it for issues with sweating and they also say it has helped with that.

I get headaches from injections for anything. I’ve never had Botox injections though and will never go down that track.

I spoke to a girlfriend that loves Botox and she says headaches are the norm for some people. I don’t think it is right that the Clinic where you had it done is ignoring you. Any headaches should be looked at if they are recurring like they are for you.

I would check with your GP at least to rule out re the headaches are not caused by maybe an allergy to the stuff that is in the Botox.

Do let us know how you go and if the headaches subside for you though.

“Some people experience a mild headache following an injection into the muscles in the forehead. It can last a few hours to a few days. According to a 2001 study, about 1 percent of patients may experience severe headaches that can last for two weeks to one month before slowly disappearing” healthline.com

Did you go to a dermatologist or a doctor specialising in cosmetic injectibles?

If symptoms persist, I suggest following up with your GP.

I also suggest reporting the clinic.

If you had a referral from your GP I’d head back to the GP for advice. If not I think I’d be getting an opinion from a trusted GP so I hope you have one. I’m no help at all re botox as I only know about it from medical purposes via a friend but I do think you need unbiased advice before continuing in any way. Good luck.

I’ve not had botox, but after a quick google search, headache is a common side effect that usually can last from a few hours to a few days. Reducing the amount of botox used may prevent side effects.

The clinic should have explained this to you, it’s not on that you are being ignored.

If you are well enough, go in there, they can’t ignore you that way
I do hope you are ok, and it’s not good enough they are ignoring you

I’ve never had Botox, but if ANYTHING gave me symptoms like this I’d stop! & you say the clinic & advisor are ignoring you, too? That’s really setting off alarm bells with me, amanda – I say run a mile!

If you really want to keep having Botox, I’d go somewhere else; BUT, tell them about your previous symptoms. Personally, if it were me, I’d steer clear of Botox after this.
