Plastic Surgery

I have been wanting this for as long as I can remember. I want a nose job. I’m not happy with how it is..I havent been happy with it for almost 9 years now and I’ve decided that I want to go through with it. Though I still unsure about where to start. Do I need a referal from my GP? Do I pay the entire cost at once? Whats the downtime after having it done? Has anyone else had any plastic surgery experiences they can share?

Sorry to bring this old thread up, but does anyone know the name of any finance companies that will finance for cosmetic surgery?

Hey Bella, research, research and research. I’d even go as far as getting two specialists consultations before making your appointment. My girlfriend had it done about 5 years ago and she only took a week off work to recover. This was mostly due to swelling and brusing, which is to be expected. She is extremely happy with the results. I don’t understand why at times, there is such a negative attitude towards cosmetic surgery, especially when dentists are having their patients have their teeth whiten, or sending them off to orthodontist to have their teeth straightened all the time and this is scene as normal practise. If you really want to do this for you, then take the next step and have a consultation.

    Hi Bella Boo!
I’ve had plastic surgery…. boobs :)….. not the same but I know how you feel
If this is something you have been thinking about it for a long time as ray_jay said – go for it.
One thing that people who have surgery need to realise though is, is that it won’t nessesarilyt ‘fix all your problems’ ie confidence etc.
Do a lot of reasearch…. see if you can find someone who has had this procedure and ask them loads of questions
Start saving!!!! Oh – on that note – there are finance companies specifically for plastic surgery which is a great help!
Let me know if you want more info on that 🙂

I would go to this website first

    Home

Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and find a recommended dr from there! Also research the doctor that you have chosen… there is usually alot of information on doctors

Good for you Bella Boo! If you have been thinking about it for ages and are happy with your decisions good for you!
Here is a link to a website which I think might help you

    http://www.cosmeticsurgeryaustralia.com.au/

Its a guide to cosmetic surgery in australia!

From what I understand you just need to find a plastic surgeon and make an appointment with them to discuss. I would try and find someone who is certified by the cosmetic australian authorities and I would also go around the different places and drs and get lots of different opinions and prices!
