nose job

How will you know if you need a nose job? I have been having difficulties breathing properly after i encountered an accident which broke my nose. Never really though much of it after, however, I did have some problems.

thanks for all your comments everbody! I had it fixed by a dr. andrew kim. I dont know if you are aware of him. You can search him or check out his website. However, I suggest that you find (and take a time to research) a surgeon that you are comfortable with, of course without forgoing the fact that he should be certified and experienced in performing the particular procedure you are looking for. It has been a good lesson learned, and one i am thankful because now i can breathe with better ease.

marlene gomez SPAMS about this same doctor a lot. She’s supposedly also had a breast augmentation done by the same doctor. I don’t like the idea of flying overseas for surgery.

I suggest you go and see a rhinoplasty specialist right away. A nose job might fix it. Rhinoplasty corrects the structural defects of nose causing breathing problems. If you opt to do it abroad, one good surgeon I can recommend is Dr Rino Lorenzo from Manila who did my nose last year. I think he has a website that you can google. Wish you all the best!

As others have stated, see an ENT specialist. A decade ago I had septoplasty and turbinoplasty. Plus while they were doing the other stuff, they asked if there was any cosmetic stuff I wanted done as well, so I said sure!

But if I’m being perfectly honest, it did very little good. Since the surgery, I actually think my nose is congested more than it’s clear. And I kind of miss my old nose. Speak to an ENT, but have a good hard think about your options and the likelihood of a favourable outcome. For me, it was a pretty big ordeal to have gone through for virtually no benefit. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn’t have gone the surgical route.

Every case is different though, so the best place to start gathering your facts for your specific case is an ENT specialist.

Definetly see your doc and get referral to ENT specialist. There is generally a long wait on public list but it all depends what category you fall into. Privetly it can cost a fair bit but if you and your doc think you can hold off maybe out your name down on public list. Keep in mind that if you go down public hospital route they will only operate if you medically need it and won’t if it’s purely cosmetic. Hope this helps!

Preferably not just a normal doc, get referred to an ENT (Ears Nose and Throat)… as they have specialised equipment.

I went and they were able to use a scope to check my sinuses and everything too. Turns out I have a deviated septum. If it bothered me then it’s medical grounds for a nose job but it doesn’t so I’ll live with it.
