I have been reading the comments added to this thread and I do not understand the age restriction added to some products. I do not envisage that I would either stop using or change the body wash product I use once I reach the age of 31…

gee just reading this one now……Hope kats reads this one…….she is a shower gel wash queen who has used lots and lots of products. I wonder if she has used this one?

Never knew there were age restrictions on brands……I remember years ago as a teenager, my mum used products that I bought.

It is a bit silly how there is a age restriction for a shower gel trial team. I understand brands try to pinpoint and market to the age gaps that are ‘most likely’ to be their target audience but over 30’s definitely shower and I know quite a few ladies 30+ who solely use shower gel.

Yeah so do I, I`m 31 but even if I was older I would still use it. There shouldn`t be a age restriction on body wash of any type we are women of all age`s who use these products.

Who’d buy this product anyways, the ingredients would destroy your skin and immune system. So on top of this age restriction , won’t be getting my money!!! The trial influenced me not to buy!

Thanks for the full lists, Kassalee & duality!

I`ve got rhino skin. As long as something doesn`t give me zits, I`m OK. I could probably wash with battery acid, haha!

On their website ingredients are as follows, notice how high up fragrance is!

Pays to check ingredients duality as it seems different fragrances contain different ingredients and quantities. Your listing is different to mine above.

Mine was taken from the Fresh Hibiscus and White Sage and Parfum is towards the end of ingredients – 3rd last

The other one Fresh Ginger and Basil also has Parfum towards the end.

And yours looks to be the Fresh Blue Agave and Lavender with Parfum the 4th top ingredient – so much for natural Lavender!

And the lavender scent was not even that strong…

One of the most crazy parts of this ridiculous younger beauties trial team offers is that in general older women have far more disposable income than the younger ones who are raising a family and paying off a mortgage.

Anyone who thinks older ladies are less interested in beauty items is living under a rock or in a cave. Sorry, girls, I’m putting anyone older than 35 in the “older” category and this is totally incorrect but for the point of my whinging I hope you understand.

You’re ALL babies compared to me!!

this issue will never go away and it’s a cop out saying oh sure you can buy it if you’re over 30 but your opinions are not valued as a reviewer.

I said it on the article and I’ll say it again there are so many products out there that you can buy and I won’t support brands who engage in this behaviour as it’s discrimination.

If they said people of colour can’t use this product it’s for white people only, everyone would lose their sh!t, discrimination is discrimination whether it’s age, gender, race etc. sorry BH Lauren but it’s a cop out you guys own the site and get to lay down basic rules and discrimination in all its forms is a big NO in this day and age.

The Trial Team results for this are up on Home Page. Understandably, a few of us are less than impressed with the age selection – from 18 to 30. If this isn’t ridiculous, I don’t know what is.

BH’s Lauren has said it was what the brand wanted and while I accept that, I also think if brands want us to take them seriously this is not the way to go about it.

Having said all of that, I’m delighted for those of you who were selected and especially those who gave feedback here.

EDIT, sorry – I might have the thread mixed up – there are several with similar sounding names but the one on the trial team area is definitely for 30 and under which, to me, is crazy.

      Suitable only for 18-30’s?

I hope they state that on the product – yeah right.

I won’t be buying that product to try – who knows what it might do to my over 30’s skin – thanks for the warning.

I also made a couple of comments, Trish, because I am so disheartened with the selection for trial teams. It seems everything is virtually for the under 40s and even when a product is suitable for the more mature ladies the trials are still given to the younger group.

I suggested that if bh haven`t done so already that they step up and let the companies know how the bh members feel about their age group restrictions. But, to be honest, I know deep down that nothing will change.

How is everyone going with this would love to hear more?

  • 5 yrs, 1 mth ago

Hi all, just a reminder that if you are part of the Nivea clay shower cleanser trial team that reviews are due today. I submitted mine a few hours ago.

  • 5 yrs, 1 mth ago

Well one of the Trial Team reviews has already been written . Plus another review has been written by someone who claims to have used this product for 15 years?

    • 5 yrs, 1 mth ago

      Hum… I hope that is a mistake.

    • 5 yrs, 1 mth ago

That review is a very strange one, one part she’s talking about the scent it leaves on the body but the end of it she’s saying it removes eye makeup effectively? Huh?

      • 5 yrs, 1 mth ago

It`s her 1st review, maybe she got confused.? I hope she did`nt really use it on her face.
