Ingrowing Hairs On Legs

I have a real problem with ingrowing hairs on my legs. I exfoliate regularly and use an AHA Lotion but I still get them.
What do you recommend and has anybody tried this product?

Apply a moisturiser or oil that contains tea tree. This will keep the skin clean and avoid any further infection or irritation

I use an exfoliating glove and that really helps getting rid of ingrowns! I got mine from just a pharmacy/chemist and is one of my best purchases ever!!! A good scrub is always good for getting rid of ingrowns, at the moment I’m using the rub rub rub shower scrub from lush and so far its pretty good!

    Hey,

I’m a beauty therapist and what i tell clients when it comes to ingrown hairs is to exfoliate every 3 days and avoid using gloves or a loofa during the process because it holds the dead skin and grows bacteria. What i recommend is tea tree, it’s a natural antibacterial ingredient and the main cause of ingrowns is bacteria. The brand “Thursday Plantation” have a good body wash and lotion and are reasonably priced.

    Hope this helps.

Bump eRaiser products are listed here on bh: http://www.beautyheaven.com.au/body-health/brands/897-Bump-eRaiser

I haven’t used this brand, but you could read reviews from those who have.

I’ve got uncommonly tough skin & I have a big problem with keeping ingrown hairs at bay too. I epilate because I find the longer gap between epilating sessions gives my ingrown hairs a time to heal. When I was shaving, I always looked scabby because the old ingrown hairs didn’t have time to heal before I’d get a fresh batch. I also exfoliate really well. I use a plastic pot scourer – I wouldn’t advise this for everybody, my skin is uncommonly tough.

    Good luck Statiira!
